Never had any direct contact at all when we sold our last place or bought our new place. Any queries we had, and I think it might have only been 1 or 2 things, were given to our solicitor or we contacted the estate agent to get in touch with the buyer/seller.
  • Other than the initial viewing, I had no direct contact with my seller - and neither did I want any. Any questions were resolved by the solicitor and/or EA.

Everyone is different in how they like to deal with people, but fundamentally it's a business transaction, something people often seem to forget in the emotion of it all and then end up wrapped in all sorts of knots. That's why the EA / solicitor is there.
