Switching in advance

Hi, my 12 month Sky Broadband deal is coming to an end in 4 weeks time. I've haggled with Sky but I can't get as good a deal as is being offered with Plusnet or Talk Talk as a new customer so it looks like I'm going to switch from Sky. Can I switch this far in advance but ask for the new contract to start in 4 weeks? Or do I need to wait until the date my Sky broadband contract finishes and then switch?
Thank you
Thank you

You will have to pay until the end of the contract so if for some miraculous reason the takeover of the line happens before then you will be paying both Sky and your new provider.
I'd wait until there were less than 14 days left on the contract before initiating a switch.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.
