Lots to report since I last posted.
Starting with the bad new, our 16 year old cat was put to sleep last night. I've had her from being a kitten, she's been off her usual food for a few days but was managing tuna and ham which I was giving her in small amounts. She was drinking as normal too. Yesterday though she seemed desperate to drink but unable to do it. After a blood test the vet found she was suffering from kidney failure. He said they could put her on constant IV drip for a month but that would only buy her a short amount of time. Devastated. We have told our eldest but not our daughter yet, she was crying last night cos the acorn she found is starting to shrivel up, she said she loves Alice the Acorn and doesn't want her to go :rotfl:. Didn't think she could cope with the news about the cat too.
Speaking of my daughter, she went to a disco at school last night which she absolutely loved! Their old school never did things like that so it's lovely that there's so much going on here. It really makes us feel like part of something.
Mum was due to have her last chemo yesterday, they decided though that after the weekend she needed an extra week off to recover. We'd only waited in the waiting room for two and half hours before they reached that decision! Frustrating but for the best I think. She's struggling this morning as it is without having had the chemo. They've moved her last one to next week now so hopefully she'll be fit enough for that. She's barely eating which isn't helping but the chemo makes her feel so sick she's really struggling. She wants to try some soup today so I'm going to call round with some this morning.
On the money front, we've spent more than usual over the past few months with the move, usual uniform expenses etc, but we're managing with the increased DMP payment for now. I've been trying to up my matched betting and surveys which is helping. Made £22 yesterday from a few bets and bumped up my onepoll and swagbucks accounts. Onepoll is now at £33.85.
Going to drink my coffee and get out to the shops to sort Mum's stuff out. Happy Friday peeps!

Hi cmc I've been reading through your diary over the last couple of days and you sound to be doing great on the money saving / money making keep up the good work! I always find it inspiring reading other peoples diaries I'm going to look into the matched betting as well it's not something I've looked into before but you seem to be doing really well so might do a little research of my own. Did it take you long to pick it up?
So sorry to hear about your mum seeing someone you love go through so much is heartbreaking I bet your so glad you decided to make the move to be closer to her. I'll subscribing to your diary and wishing you well0 -
Thank you KittyKat for reading
yes I've been matched betting for about 18 months, if you need any help let me know and I'll do my best! It's definitely my biggest earner online overall.
Had a shocking start to the week, hubby got half way to work, stopped for petrol and his stupid car wouldn't start again! He's still working 30 miles away so he was pretty stuck! I ended up getting the kids to school and driving over with a view to towing him home, was pretty nervous about the whole thing and stressing myself silly about the cost of sorting the blasted car out. Anyway, got there and he attached the tow rope, within a few minutes, his car bump started and we were able to pull in and detach him. Towing is not something I ever want to have to do again. I followed him home and he then set off to work in my car, only arriving 3 hours later than he should. It could have been worse, fortunately the petrol station sold tow ropes and we were able to get the car home, a call out to a tow vehicle would have been a lost more costly. So now we need to figure out what we'll do for the rest of the week, manage with one car or borrow mum's, we're luckier than some I guess but at the time I was super stressed and swearing like a trooper!
Should have been meeting a friend this morning but couldn't get there in the end with no car so having a day at home instead. My plan is to spend the day online bumping up my income as I feel we've spent so much recently I'm getting really twitchy about it. Our savings have taken a hit. Going to concentrate on earning and budgeting again for a few weeks.

Monday morning looms again, can't believe it's been a whole week since I last wrote in my diary.
Hubby's car is still off the road, but his parents have insisted on giving him some money for a new one. They've given him £1,200 so he should be able to get a decent run around for that. He's finally working nearer to home and only has a 3 mile commute to work now so that's making things much easier. He has also been offered £150 for his heap of junk, think he may get a little more if he puts some effort into getting rid of it properly!
Made a little money this morning from a risk-free casino offer, only £16 in total but it's a start. Have added that to my signature.
Also, made a payment to the mortgage this weekend and the DMP payment has come out so I've amended my totals for those too. Ooh and added a little more to the Christmas fund so that's been updated too.
Got a few jobs to do today after work but other than that will be bumping up my surveys etc, onepoll has been neglected over the past week and that's nearly at cashout so will see what's waiting for me.

Had a bit of good news handed to me by the post lady, a refund of £155 council tax from our old house :j.
Not sure what I'll do with it once I get it but pretty chuffed all the same. It'll either go in the Christmas fund or the DMP overpayment fund.
Added it to my extra income for October :T.Making £1,000 plus every month from home :T0 -
Had another bit of luck last night and made another £140 on another risk-free casino offer, yesterday was a good money day!
Have been playing about with figures a little too to see if I can bump up what we're paying each month on our DMP. We've been here two months so only just getting a feel for whether what we're paying on our bills is accurate. Water seems much better here, we're paying about £20 less a month, gas and electric time will tell.
I think I'd like to chip away at the DMP debt a little each month but it's not that easy to do that, wonder if self-managed would be easier.
Ah well, enough of my ramblings for now!

Why oh why is everything so bleedin stressful all the time???
Last night, my husband accidentally bought a flippin car on ebay! My ebay account too! Without me knowing, he sent a best offer of £1,100 to the seller, the seller jumped at it and accepted meaning he bought the bleepin car. Fortunately he hasn't paid for it but the seller is being a pain and refusing to cancel the sale. From his feedback I can see he's done this before and just opens up an unpaid item dispute which I'll then have to appeal. I've spoken to ebay who say it shouldn't be an issue but why do I always have to sort all the cr*p out?!!!! The seller last night said he would only cancel the sale if I gave him £10 for the inconvenience and now isn't responding to any emails. If I don't hear from him tonight I'll be leaving feedback before he opens a dispute, he's obviously good at this, his feedback is shocking. Fair enough we messed up but we're only human!

Wow it's been over a month since I last felt the need to post on my diary. I guess I haven't had the time really.
Lots has been going on as usual, work has been busy and I've been upping my online earnings in the run up to Christmas.
My main project recently has been the launch of my new website, it's aiming to be a one-stop shop for money making ideas as well as the odd money-saving tip. It's really new and definitely a work in progress but it's something I've wanted to do for a while as I'm pretty passionate about boosting my income.
In other news, I've made a start on the Christmas shopping, found a good deal on a cozy coupe police car for little man which should arrive today, got a couple of stocking fillers and little miss has chosen the bike she wants.
I've also discovered £11 in cashback from last June that has tracked but never been paid so I've chased that up, frustrating when I went to the trouble of going through the cashback site and I've not got my reward, think it's the retailer's fault though rather than the cashback site.
Working this morning but I'm going to spend a little time on my website first, need to figure out ways to boost my traffic!

I redeemed 800 swagbucks tonight for £5 paypal cash :T I've since done another survey for 80sb so I'm hoping I'll hit my next 800sb pretty quickly.
I've been working today and visited Mum in between shifts, but I've still managed to write a blog post and create a new page for the website. I've also worked out how to create drop-down menus which wasn't as easy as you might think! I've managed to drive some traffic again too, not as much as yesterday but I've managed to get some FB likes which is a big boost. The page is still looking a bit sad but it's all going in the right direction.

Well done on keeping your head above water with the matched betting. I wish I have been able to get my head around it, but was always worried about doing it wrong. Now i can't anyway as am no in UK.
keep on keeping on
chevI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?
