The night jobs appeal, not having to deal with the usual daytime crowds and traffic and working in quiet surroundings. Also working from home sounds good in many ways – no travel woes, no expensive sandwiches for lunch, have your workroom conditions exactly as you want, and no bizarrely difficult colleagues to have to put up with
But as mentioned, downsides to factor-in too.

Locomotive driver for freight trains? That's the job I dream of when I get really sick of the noisy people in my open-plan office. The idea of thundering through the night with a couple of thousand tonnes of coal behind me appeals. I suspect it would involve a fair amount of sitting around in crowded crew-rooms between the train-driving bits though.
Long-distance lorry driver is another option, although it probably pays much less than train driving.0 -
