I feel your pain, or at least did until I retired :-) I always hated working in open plan offices and more so in open plan offices where a lot of people were on the phones a lot of the time.

I've just started a project with a central NHS group based in London.. I get to go to actual meetings now. Yay!

NHS meetings  although the catering is usually good for the all dayers!

Nice to get out occasionally to keep up with the social skills,

I work as an evening office cleaner, work on my own area and it's great, nice and peaceful and just get on with my work with no one looking over my shoulder and telling me what to do.

It's ok, it's with techie people.. and they're more department of health than strictly NHS.

Yes, out of the house is fun. I don't actually like the isolation of home working that much!
  • Try a call centre. Although there may be hundreds in an open plan 'office', once your hooked up with headphones and listening to people who hate the company you work for, its kinda solitary.

Lighthouse keeper, lorry driver, operating one of those tower cranes (ok you talk to people but don't have much contact with them) and many types of self-employment like farmer, bee-keeper etc.

I don't think there are any manned lighthouses left these days

You could try one and, if it doesn't work out, then try the other
