A&F parcels with Hermes require a signature on delivery.0

check with neighbours last week had a parcel delivered by Hermes two doors up and my partner said parcel was delivered only it wasnt at our house and we got a knock at door at 10pm from neighbour. I have cctv and was in at time and found out he didnt even come to our house and it had correct address on. Note sure why they made a mistake as I talk to same guy often and is really friendly0

Abercombie are clearly to blame for using such a poor courier as MyHermies. I think they use third parties who get paid a pittance to deliver.
I had a lady from about a mile away drop in a parcel to me left in her porch by Hermes. The only similarity in addresses was house number first letter of the street and first 3 characters of the postcode.0 -

Apart from the one problem, I've found them to be an excellent company.0 -
The only courier I've found to be consistently good for me are DPD. I guess it varies from area to area but if I have a choice of sellers and one uses Hermes I choose the other.0

As an eBay seller I find you can't beat them on price, with tracking number , and a site that allows you to import your parcel info from eBay .My customers are happy because postage is so low , and an email is sent straight to the customer advising tracking number.0 -
I can see why you'd use them.
All I have to go on is two eBay purchases where they were used. One arrived considerably later than the prediction. I don't think I had any tracking info for that one and it was a while ago. I've already mentioned the second and with that the last tracking info was out for delivery and stayed that way. I'd already contacted the seller when the person who got it in error was kind enough to drop it in as they were passing my house.
As I said I think they use third parties for the final delivery leg so they lose control of quality at that point. OK they can stop using an unreliable driver but how many customers have been inconvenienced by that time?
I've seen many complaints about Yodel but I've had plenty of stuff via them and they haven't let me down badly. I like DPD best because of the notified 2 hour timeslot. I guess they cost more though.
Years ago the worst for me at a different address was ParcelForce who must have used Ninjas to slip "sorry you were out" cards silently through the letter box without ringing the bell. I haven't had anything via them in an age though.0
