no , in order to register it , it had to have an MOT , as lights etc are motor powered the engine had to run

and had it have been claimed as parts I would have ended up with a Q plate as only a small % would have been original

dvla was going ok , until I hit the NOVA problem and lack of HMRC help , it is all geared towards businesses that are VAT registered and use shippers , via docks etc

Or is it 6.95 million pounds? It depends whether the number was mis-typed or the commas were put in the wrong place.

OP said £5 per day so from 1978-ish, approx. 69 grand is what it'll be, the last 2 digits of £69,405.00 being pence not pounds.

I wonder when DVLA set the fine at £5 per day, that was serious money back in 1978. I seem to recall I could buy a new exhaust or a car battery for that sort of money so rather a lot to charge per day.

    don,t remind them!

actually the fine was only brought in , with the introduction of NOVA , had they have pursued this I would have challenged that the date of NOVA was the starting point , mind you 2 or 3 yrs at £5 a day would be a killer
