Any value in selling a used kitchen?

We're looking at making an offer on a place and the kitchen, although superb, modern, sleek and full of the best of kit, is not quite to our taste so we'd like to budget putting in a new, more classic kitchen in the first year.
It would seem a crime to rip out the old and skip it. It's seriously top gear, expensive german made units, and all in as new condition.
Has anyone sold their kitchen? Is there a market for such a thing?

Google 'the used kitchen company' online.
There is definitey a market. I have also bought and sold kitchens on ebay.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

As above most definitely. However, you'll need to take it out carefully so as not to damage it. (Tradesmen aren't careful enough in my view.)0

Definitely a market for it - what's it like? Might be looking for one soon! This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

If layout is ok check you cant re style with cosmetic changes like new doors and trim. Cabinets are fairly standard, German stuff is standardized for fittings see if you can get a look at the combined catalogue.0

I've seen a few people selling on their local Facebook 'buy & sell' pages and seem to get plenty of interest. A few have even said 'buyer removes'...0

Glasgowdan, could you post some pics of your kitchen units? I'm in Glasgow too and would be interested!0

My sister sold her old kitchen (definitely not top end) on eBay and stated the buyer had to remove it. They drove 50 miles in a van and spent a day taking it out in pieces so it could be installed in a new Buy to Let flat they had bought.
It sounds like your kitchen is high end so you could get much more for it.
Having said that, it's definitely worth living with it for a few months first and seeing if you change your mind. Moving is hard enough work as it is, and you may find that other things take priority0 -
wow! looks like a nice space...
it's a very particular kitchen but tbh I'm sure you could sell it, only issue would be the silestone tops might make it awkward...This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
As someone said above these are always in demand for buy to let properties where the finish isn't to be AAA grade.
Removed my DH last year, they got about £600 for it from memory and it was "average" in quality but in good nick.I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0
