Where Do I stand on a fitted wardrobe
Comments

The gap itself is 1.8m wide, with a brick wall on the right and back, and only plasterboard on the left. To me that's a long distance and without a support in the middle, maybe even 2, then there's a chance the plasterboard wall could fall in and I don't want to risk it myself, hence the contractor.
and this shower pole idea, thats still going to require a support in the middle because of the distance but thankyou, something to think about0 -
Get a free standing pole from Argos for about £15 or push the boat out and get a £30 heavy duty one from Amazon....then you can take it with you when you go.
Life is really too short to argue over something like this, especially at the beginning of your tenancy0 -

Some thing like this inside the space, assuming there is the depth?Where Do I stand on a fitted wardrobe
I can't imagine!:)0 -
What you have is a large cupboard to store things in.
If you want to hang up your clothes, you could either use the wardrobe in the other bedroom, or buy yourself a freestanding clothes rail and take it away when you leave.
Don't get into conflict with your landlord so early in your tenancy about something which, in the great scheme of things, is not worth creating bad feeling about. There never was a railing there, you have not been misled.0 -
Good grief!0

I'd just forget about it, use the space to store something else, and do as others have said, get a free standing rail or use the wardrobe in the other room.
It is a bit tight of the landlady not paying/arranging for a pole to be put in in my opinion. But still not worth bothering about or getting into hassle about.0 -
Here you go - you could buy all the bits for less than a tenner
