and we survived outside it before and i`m sure we`ll do the same now.

So if I post a news story referring to a bad economic period, some time in the past, is that proof that things will get worse?

King Arthur: A scratch? Your arm's off!
    Black Knight: No, it isn't!
King Arthur: Well, what's that then?
    Black Knight: I've had worse.

You know, surviving the next few years isn't really the point. It will be what? A decade? Two? To get out of the EU and negotiated back into something resembling normality. I'd really rather not be having to endure that.

Well, there you are, everyone. It seems our dislike of foreigners is more important than our access to the single market, and we'll be out by early 2019, with the hardest of hard Brexits.

Anyone any ideas on how this is going to impinge on us here? As someone who spends a fair bit of his working life down south, I'm dreading disrupted border crossing. No doubt my euros will be worth more pounds by the morning - after that, who knows?

I'd like to hear what you all think, so come on if you think you're Hard enough.

Don't hold your breath. There's dragging of heels and then there's brexit.
The Westminster politicians know it's financial and political suicide, so they are in no rush.

No. No wish to either. It's just worked out that a lot of my business is done down south, fortunately paid in euro. Any 1980s style border crossing problems will ruin my day. Three days a week.

Well, I see it's at 87 pence today.

and now that the pound is continuing to slide today, I'd say the place with most to worry about its economy is Southern Ireland.

    Interesting times.

Yep. The Tories turn into UKIP, while UKIP turns into Fight Club (better not talk about that)
