still , a formal letter to the IPC , stating the guys actions and the fact that you have witnesse(S) might just stir the IPC up
Better still, a complaint to the Police!

Police have been notified and I included it in my IPA, Armtrac say officer 00025 denies threatening gesture, I took his photo afterwards, as said previously my friend witnessed it and provided a statement for my appeal. I will write to IPC..should I also to DVLA and MP??

I have just added an extra link to my post above

I take it the "officer" was in full uniform with a visible ID badge?

    hi rambo77

sorry to hear about that, the harbour manager just got back to me and said that the beach car park is privately owned. Have you got an email for mr shannon? would you be able to share it please? I'm constantly hitting dead ends.

I hope your situation gets sorted - let me know

Hi Beaver24, sorry to hear that and I am sorry that I interupted your thread, I am trying to learn the ropes.
I spoke tothe owner on Wednesday and have subsequently emailed the info to him, at his request.
He was very concerned about Amtrac operative threatening gesture, I think he intends to speak to them directly and he was interested to know that they no longer belong to the BPA and I explained that the appeals system with the IAP are not regulated etc and always in favour of Armtrac. In brief; he said that they need parking enforcement for obvious reasons, and that some of the operatives are reasonable and he much prefers them to take a common sense approach, so I hope he would be sympathetic to your situation. I found him to be thoughtful and helpful. From what I gather his family own the buildings and some of the businesses in the Ben Tunicliffe Restaurant side beach car park....is that where you parked? I assume (but don't know) that they also own the other car park by the harbour as they are both Armtrac. If you are fairly local I would suggest going down to see him or calling, as it may be more 'personable' than sending an email as first point of contact, but that's just my approach. Please let me know how you get on and I will keep you posted of any developments. BTW I am adamant that I will not pay Amtrac and will not cave in to them, I hope you agree!

No worries I don't mind you jumping in if it wasn't for you I wouldn't have been able to get hold of dan and likewise he has just got back to me regarding the situation and asked armtrac to remove the case. Top bloke! I will keep you posted on the situation.

Well done both - the power of the well-directed complaint to the landowner.

I would continue with the police case and if you get any confirmation from them that they have dealt with this by way of a caution (or higher charge) of the operative, then it's report time to the DVLA, the IPC and your MP.
