The auction results are in the news article section, here is a recent one:

Does anybody have a guide price for "typical" (for Royal Mail vans) condition 30k-40k miles 04 to 55 reg Royal Mail Combo vans at BCA? I'm looking at popping up to Blackbushe on Thursday, but only have £2.5k max to play with for one. If the budget is going to be unrealistically low, I'll save the travelling!!!0 -
Hello,
New member here. I am looking for a Ford Galaxy and am slightly worried about being eaten alive by traders if I attend an auction.
Any chance someone could give me a guide price for the following?
Manufacturer - Ford
Model(s) - Galaxy
Derivative(s) any
Engine size(s) - 2.0 Diesel
Fuel type - Diesel
Gearbox - Automatic
BCA branch(es) you want searched - Any
mileage - any
Preferably with as many electric toys as possible.:D
Thanks in advance.0 -
Would appreciate it if someone could give me average prices for the following:
Mini Cooper 1.6
petrol, manual, less than 60k mileage, 54 plate onwards
BMW 116, 1.6
petrol, manual, 3/5 door, less than 60k mileage, 54 plate onwards
branch(es): brighouse, leeds, manchester (or thereabouts)
Thanks0 -
Hi. I'd be very grateful if someone could tell me what 2008 BMW 320D's are selling for at auction. I know it depends on the spec, mileage etc. (and whether 57/08/58 reg), but if someone could give me an example or two, that would be great. Thanks!0

Hi, after some help as I can't seem to find the price information on BCA Auction view having subcribed (they say you can view 7 day average prices but damned if I can find where that is....
)
Trying to find some guide prices prior to paying a visit for the following:
Manufacturer - Audi
Model(s) - A6 Avant (new shape so 2005/6 plate ideally)
Derivative(s) any
Engine size(s) - 2.0 or 2.7 or 3.0 Diesel
Fuel type - Diesel
Gearbox - Any
BCA branch(es) you want searched - Any
mileage - 80k or less
Sorry if that's too vague just trying to make sure I go down there with an upper limit in mind and don't get carried away in the moment  If it's easier I'd be extremely grateful for any ideas on price for the s line derivative of each engine size?
Cheers

They don't always appear for all lots, if you can see the price info on the right hand side of the screen the 7 day average is the first column of prices, sometimes this column is empty. If you see no price information at all, you need to select "pricing" in the 3rd drop down menu at the top of the search results page, the options in this drop down menu are
*Summary
*Detail
*Pricing
I can tell you that there are approximately 37 lots including the 2.5 litre engine - any reason you don't want a 2.5? most of them have average price info, but of the 3 - "S-lines" I could find, none have average price info, only the standard guide price info.... as follows

Thanks Wig, will try again and see if I can get the info up.
Staying away from the 2.5tdi for 2 reasons, I don't think they made it in the new shape and my friend who's a VAG mechanic said the 2 things to avoid was the allroad air suspension and the 2.5tdi from his experience.
thanks again
Well it looks like you don't get to see average price info if taking out the standard (2 month/100 searches) membership. Checked everywhere and despite being able to order by price I can't display by price and only get Summary and Detail as an option in the 3rd box....0 -

For viewing, you should go along if you live nearby and if they are open the yard may be open for you to look around, if you live far away, best to phone up and ask if you can walk around the yard.
Certainly viewing will be available from around 9am on the Tuesday.
You are only able to view the outside of the car, if you're lucky the door may be unlocked, then you'll get a closer look. If you go on a non sale day, and they let you view, then they might let you borrow the keys.
Things to look out for apart from the obvious body tyre engine and exhaust checks, ask them if they have the radio face (if applicable) how many keys there are for the car, the service stamps in the service book, these things can be checked on non sale days, over the phone.
On sale day when the man starts the car, be there, to listen and observe it starting up. then when the man moves away to the next car, you can pop the bonnet to view the engine and open the rear hatch to view the spare wheel etc. and rock the steering wheel side to side to check for excess play. Some cars have dead batteries, can be indicating faulty alternator but usually no big deal if they have to jump start it. If it had a faulty alternator it would not keep running after jump start. So really if it starts and runs, the worst that could happen is you'll need a new battery soon.0 -
Wig, thanks that's great information & advice. I'm suprised to see how high the Mini's prices are even at auction. I might pop down to the auction for a couple of hours just to see what the prices are on the day.
Thanks again.
Cheers Madcow :beer:0
