Perhaps she had the wrong carry bag and the machine refused to serve her.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Joking aside, call them back again tomorrow, asking for your 70p back.

If they don't agree, then whatever you do, don't attack the machine with a pick axe or superglue the coin mech, both of which would be petty and vindictive. Unless you're a petty, vindictive person of course ;-)

On the bright side, some lucky soul got a free bag of hula hoops :rotfl:

    THAT'S MSE right there.

Earlier today I tried to get some Hula Hoops out of a vending machine but they didn't come out. I went to the front desk to get my 70p back and the woman said "would you have said anything if you got two lots come out?".

Long story short the woman told me because the machine occasionally gives out things not paid for and people never come forward they have a policy of not refunding errors to balance everything out.

I know it's only 70p but really want to shake that machine until everything drops out...

Hi, tell here if her wages was to be down by 70p a week and you said " Dont worry you work mates gets a extra 70p " Would that be ok for her ? Plus if that happens 5 times a day thats about 25 pound a week

But it is a variance thing...

Some times OP will get 0 packets

Most times OP will get 1 packet

Some times OP will get 2 packets

So mathematically the OP is not losing 70p per iteration, but rather like 0p (1 packet) +- maybe 20p to factor in the chance of getting 0 or 2 packets.

Not to mention that OP would not put in 70p into a machine 5 times in a row if it doesn't give out crisps on any occasion, never mind over 7 days too!

Surely you are not taking this nonsense post by the OP seriously?

Perhaps we need yet another sub-forum "Wind up Forum" perhaps?

Why not wait by the machine until some lucky person gets two bags then take the spare one. It may mean you standing there for a few weeks but it'll be worth it.
