Looking for a cheap basic spf moisturiser for the face

  • Thanks for all the replies and advice/recommendations. I have a moisturiser without spf in that I love. Was just looking for an spf cream that I could use alongside it.
Is it possible to use your moisturiser as a 'night' cream? That way you'll still be using, and loving, it.

I'm still searching for the perfect one myself but am currently using Nivea SPF 50 for face. There's a slight white sheen but that's fine if applying make up on top of it. Ideally I'd like to find one which doesn't go too white on my face or make it too shiny. Like others have said, I also prefer one not mixed with makeup.

I'm confused as you only need the one product not 2 one on top of the other. To me that's just a waste of money. A basic one that I use is Boots own SPF15 as it's for sensitive skin, http://www.boots.com/en/Boots-Simply-Sensitive-Day-Moisturiser-SPF15-125ml_1189241/ I get it when it's on offer at just £2. It's a good size and lasts me ages. What is your skin type and how HIGH a level of protection do you need? As if you are out in the sun for hours this wouldn't be good enough as it's not for sunbathing. What's your budget?

Hi, do you need one so high, I found this one to be non whitening but it's just a SPF of 27;-) https://www.amazon.co.uk/Coppertone-protect-spf-cut-milk/dp/B004QQUMA2 I have seen a SPF50 as well in this range but not tried it. Try the 99p shop if you have one nearby ;-)
  • Just spotted an Avon offer for 3 sun products that may be of interest to you, £11 for 3 SPF 50 Avon Pure and sensitive, they should be £11 each ;-) 150ml each, so not too small. https://www.avon.uk.com/product/3344/avon-sun-pure-sensitive-moisturising-sun-lotion-spf50?cb=1742718328 I've not tried Avon but if no good and you have any kind of reaction you can return products for a full refund ;-)
