I can highly recommend the body shop. They do 2 moisturisers with SPF and one is a matte finish0

Thanks for all the replies and advice/recommendations. I have a moisturiser without spf in that I love. Was just looking for an spf cream that I could use alongside it.0

Note to self read OP more carefully !
|I was recommended a high SPF after having had thread veins treated.
It was a physical rather than chemical block and it was grim, it left small granules over my skin as they day wore on and a chalky look I really didn't like.
So sorry I can't offer a useful suggestion. I have a horrible feling there might be some expensive trial and error involved , let us know how you get on.0 -

Not a joke. To be passed as spf15 it must block 95% of rays. This is a legal requirement. Buy anything over spf15 and you are in the realms of 95-100%, a small margin which indicates that while some of the higher ones may not be a joke, they may be an unnecessary expense and offer virtually the same protection.0 -

Just to add; SPF always goes on first directly onto your skin (moisturiser on second); this is because there are ingredients in the SPF which need to react to your skin for it to work properly[/QUOTE]
You need to check the ingredients, titanium reflects the rays so it would not matter where in the layering you place it as long as it is between the skin and the sun it will do it's job. Be careful with flash photography though as titanium can give the skin a blue tone in photos.0 -

Another vote here for Aldi Lacura. Goes on nice and isn't greasy. Their CC cream is good too if you want a bit more of a 'make-up' look. How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)0

I would also say that some leave a white film which can ruin the look of some foundations as it adds a white tint0

My mum gave me some Ultrasun for face to try. So far so good, but I will certainly try out the recommendations as it's a very expensive cream.0

The Body Shop have just brought out a SPF 50 cream which is lovely and light and not at all greasy, it was £16 but well worth it - I am one of the people who have done the 'expensive trial and error' thing!
Bought is to buy. Brought is to bring.0
