That's a shame i was hoping to get one to ward off the pigeons that now inhabit my neighbour's solar panels :mad:0 -
My neighbours have a bit of netting over their aerial - I assume its to keep birds off. Doesn't look great to be honest but I guess its works.
Similar to that already suggested is on this link - something that attaches to your aerial

I really like their decoy flying falcon

I know that was a joke, but birds regularly sit on the 11kv lines here and it doesn't even tickle their toes.
It won't, until they get across 2 of them, you can hang on to one forever, but touch the other conductor and it;s toast time,]
Brought home to me in India when I saw giant fruit bats that were just long enough to stretch across 2.
They were fried all down the linesI like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0 -

How about this for a tightwad alternative: buy 100 clear cable ties, 100 mm long, for e.g. £1.09 delivered off the bay of fees

and zip them firmly onto the aerial so they stick upwards. (Still prefer the owl tho.)0 -

LOL, that's quite good timing. Just yesterday my daughter was asking why birds don't die when they sit on the power lines. I know, of course, but trying to explain it in language that a 6 year old will understand ?????0 -
Last week it was cats, this week it's birds, what excremental animal problem will it be next week? LolSome people don't exaggerate........... They just remember big!0

Birds gotta do what birds gotta do so move the arial to make it trickier for them.
You'll still get splatter, just not as focussed. Could you not lay some grass/rattan matting & compost the catch? I've heard bird guano is prized for some plants.
Er, other alternatives include learning to fly a drone or (more impressively) a falcon. (You may feel you'd rather fly something more suited to your dignity & rank - check this list?!)0 -

It came as quite a shock to me to find that when linesmen work on the lines, they simply ground them using long poles and thick cables.
Until I saw them doing that, I'd imagined them ringing Fred in the control room somewhere, who'd throw a switch.....
Totally ridiculous, but I'd never thought it through!0 -
Move the aerial, surely?0
