I am the Mrs!
Hubby, while passing me a chilled white wine, suggests it is my problem for having shorter arms than him!I would suggest that that article isn't describing 'a known Sony problem'.
It's an article from Sony, describing a problem with their own TVs and sound bars, so it may be a problem that effects other makes, but it is definitely a Sony problem.
If they had thought this through, they could have put a repeater in the sound bar! Would have expected better!I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. No it isn't.
It's an article from Sony describing a problem that can occur with any soundbar/television combination.
There is nothing in that article to suggest 'it is definitely a Sony problem'.0 -
The post about TV mounts (#7) is the correct answer..
It's definitely not a "Sony problem". It likely afflicts all soundbars placed in front of a tv on a stand.0 -
This is exactly the reason that I bought a Yamaha soundbar that has an inbuilt IR repeater.0

If you had thought this through, you would've bought a soundbar with an inbuilt IR repeater.
Silly me thought that a Sony TV with a Sony soundbar would work well together.
Didn't realise the problem until it was all set up.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
