Other for sale in the block go talk to them.
Are they selling.
Are they getting viewings.
What price and when did the last one in the block complete?0 -
I can imagine your frustration. We've been on the market a long long time but we are getting around 2 viewings a week (lovely house - but next to a pub). I would post a link (if you dont mind) - the viewers are pulled in firstly by the way it appears on the internet.0

What makes you think you should get more than you paid? What did you pay? How long ago? A huge number of sales now don't see people make any money off them.0 -
Fell for the oldest trick in the book when selling my place last year and signed up with the estate agent who seemed the most enthusiastic about my place and suggested the highest asking price.
Didn't get any offers after many viewings in the first week then he suggested my asking price was too high and that a drop of £25000 might be hasten things along.
When I asked why I should drop the price so much so quickly (25000 off a 399000 asking price) and whether he had seriously messed up his valuation he merely replied that 'the market will always find the right price'
I did sell it in the end but with another agent0 -

If your home isn't selling (or worse, not even getting viewings) it's price. I don't think your guy at purple bricks is fobbing you off here.0 -
I agree on the advertising but getting a viewing via Purple Bricks isn't straightforward. The prospective buyer has to sign up in their website etc. I've read it's a load of hassle. So in this case the agent may well be a hindrance.
Same with Tepilo, found a property to view via RM, phoned the number on the advert to book a viewing only to be told we had to sign up via the website first.
Least with a highstreet agent you just call, book, turn up, bosh, done.0 -

That will be £2000 please, for answering the phone...0 -

On a buyer's perspective, phoning up a highstreet office and making an appointment verbally there and then is obviously easier especially if you are technology challenged. A viewer isn't paying the fees so why would they care.0 -
Get a friend to arrange a dummy viewing and see if the EAs are to blame. Online agents can sometimes overvalue.
I have heard good recommendations for housenetwork and eMoov online if you do want to stick with an online EA rather than try a traditional one.

Only during their opening hours though. With the on-line agents such as Purple Bricks mentioned in the OP, they are available to you 24/7.
You just register, view the seller's calendar for available appointment times, choose one that is most convenient for you, turn up, bosh, done. :beer:0
