He can't improve his credit rating unless he can get an account in his name.
The house he is renting required the rent to be paid out of an account in his name. He is dating the estate agent dealing with it.
What type of accounts is he applying for? Have they checked there credit file to see what information they hold.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0 -
What is on his credit file?
Could he have a CIFAS marker?0 -
Advice I have from one of the links is that I should contact my MP. Now my MP is a brilliant constituency MP and I have had dealings with him several times over the last few years. He isn't holding local surgeries at the moment and I know from experience that face to face is the best way to get his attention.
His politics aren't mine but he's generally a person interested in his voters. I will write to his office but would have preferred to speak to him personally.I prefer rogues to imbeciles, they sometimes take a rest (Alexander Dumas)0 -

He went bankrupt whilst he was in prison because he had given his girlfriend PoA. They then broke up and out of spite she signed him up to several contracts with no intention of paying them. The only way he could stop them was by applying for bankruptcy.

Does his credit file still show a financial association with her? If so, it needs breaking.
I am not sure what happens to a POA when it gets revoked - has it been fully revoked?
What about a CIFAS marker? Is he certain he hasn't got one?
Your son (with your help) definitely should speak to https://www.unlock.org.uk, as has already been suggested. By all means, also speak to the MP, but going to unlock is likely to yield more tangible results a lot faster.0 -

So I assume the banks have access to the same information.
Do you drive the van more than him? If not, I'd be careful as this is fronting.0 -

Looks like it's the bankruptcy that's causing the problems.0

He didn't rob a bank, did he?"You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0

There's more to it than the prison sentence.0
