I find that even with the slider adjusterin the doorframe set to the lowest level, the seatbelt cuts across my neck. It is so uncomfortable.
Has anyone got any brilliant ideas or gadgets that I can use to alleviate this please?

I'm similarly short but in a Mondeo with the seat racked about as high as it gets. Causes a bit of anguish to any tall person swinging into the car without thinking, but my mechanic is a careful soul.
With hired cars, where I can't adjust the seat height, I have these seat belt pads from wilcos shoved in my workbag. Cheap, simple, unobtrusive & not (thank gods) childish.
(Although my sons loved the idea of me getting "Wonder Woman" covers & I warned them that the Hulk might be more reasonable.)0 -
My missus is shorter than you at 4'9". She made a device in some kind of foam- padded faux velvet, that wraps around the belt and closes with Velcro strip that she sewed in. It can slide along the belt to her most comfortable position and stops it irritating her. She made two more, one for our 10 year old gd and another for the 19 year old gd, who is (may I say) extremely well endowed and was using it to stop her own irritation problems. The 19 year old has nicked hers for her own car now!
My missus is a genius with a needle and thread!I think this job really needs
a much bigger hammer.

Thank you. I have ordered both of these, in the hopes that one will do the trick.0 -
What car do you drive?
Are the seats height adjustable?0 -
It's a Mazda 5, custardy, and I've no idea! I will have a look. Thanks for the tip!0

How long have you owned the car?HurdyGurdy wrote: »It's a Mazda 5, custardy, and I've no idea! I will have a look. Thanks for the tip!
No offence but I can't believe that someone can own a car and not see whether the seats can be adjusted correctly up until now. Isn't that the first thing you do when you get behind the wheel of a car!0
