Installing HP Laser Jet Professional P110W

Options
Hello folks.

Recently I have been upgraded to Windows 10 (I was happy with Windows 8.1)

With 8.1 my printer ran ok without problems now after the change it will not print at all saying that it has not been set up properly.

HP Laser Jet Professional P1100W Series.

Up to now I have tried the following:

Removed the old set up and reinstalled with the CD provided, during set up I followed the set up instructions and I had a screen which read the following:

Configure to print using USB

Installing HP Laser Jet etc

Device is now connected.

From this point the progress markers are little blue boxes travelling from left to right, ok fine, but these little blue boxes kept going from left to right endlessly, so can anyone suggest a solution please.

PS I have tried both Auto set-up and Manual SetupHP.

kind regards from an Old Codger.

    Many thanks for your input.

Not being very knowledgeable I am quite basic. I checked as far as I could with drivers Start/Device/Update drivers/System firmware and everything appeared ok.

Could you maybe expand on your suggestion as I am not too sure where you were meaning.

    regards...

This is an odd place to put your thread. You might get it moved to the Tech forum.
If you used a CD to update I wonder if you have the most up to date drivers. Might be worth checking on the HP site before doing anything else.

I think the previous poster was seeking to suggest there was a problem with many Windows 10 drivers. not something I've found however.

Sorry I thought that this was Broadband etc. I apologise.

Prior to Windows 10 everything was fine on Windows 8.1 but I will go into the HP site and check.

I could not understand why it was not loading from their CD and just not completing setup, never had this before.

    kind regards and thanks.

Yes, this is the Broadband section. Which has nothing to do with printers - 'Techie Stuff' would cover everthing 'computery'.
Glad you're sorted anyway - manufacturer's website is the best place for drivers, especially for old devices, the disk that came with it could do more harm than good.
