Proof of Address Woes

I have a applied for a HSBC mortgage through London and Country.
I have current accounts with both HSBC and Nationwide but both my statements are online.
I live at home with my parents and so all utility, council tax, etc bills are in their names.
What else can I use?
I sent them PDFs and print outs of my online bank statements, a print out of my online Sky TV/phone bill and my driving license but none of them are good enough for proof of address.

What does your broker advise?0

Wont the banks send you statements on "official" bank paper?0

Driving licence0

Use passport for proof of identity and driving license for proof of address - that should do it.
However, it is somewhat ironic that banks such as HSBC are only too keen to force customers down the online statement route because it saves them money, yet won't accept the same statement in return - surely if it's good enough for the customer, it's good enough for the bank?!?0 -
Urgh I'm going away for a long weekend at the beginning of June and need my passport. I sent my driving license off which has verified my proof of ID.
Is it likely that they can use it for both?
Seems ridiculous I have been banking with HSBC for years and all my online statements are there in PDF format but I can't use them.0 -

But that would mean that they would miss out on the ££££ they charge for a one off reprinted statement!!0 -
Ring your banks and ask them to send you something to your home address, a statement or whatever, They must get asked this all the time.0

Why does HSBC need ID for one of it's own customers?!0

My husband and I recently got a HSBC mortgage. We held a joint HSBC account prior to getting this mortgage and we didn't need to provide statements for that account as they were able to access them themselves.
We also both hold accounts with other banks and they accepted the online print-outs. However, we didn't go through a broker and went to HSBC direct so not sure if that makes a difference or not.0 -
I just downloaded my online statements (save as pdf). Why isn't this an option?Hello There. :beer:0
