    Hello and happy Friday!

    Yesterday I did some things:

    Went to work.
    Lunch and drinks from home.
    Did surveys and 1poll.
Bought food (some of it reduced) at Tasco and got their free mag with coupons.
    Ate leftovers for dinner.
Did self employed work after dinner.
    Did a load of laundry.

    Today I have:
Pegged the washing out in the yard.
    Been to work.
Had breakfast, lunch and drinks from stores.
Signed up to get cashback and got £50.50 for doing the pet insurance.
    Done surveys
Arranged courier for cooker hood (was sold on Fleabay as collection only, buyer asked if it could be sent - to Edinburgh! XD)

    Tomorrow:
    Work
    Self employed work
Tidy the house (if I have the will to live XD)
    Money owed [STRIKE](May 2016)[/STRIKE] July 2017 : Mortgage: [STRIKE]£83,775.72[/STRIKE] £80,189.95 Student loan: [STRIKE]£43000[/STRIKE] £38633.80 Family: £11500. :mad::eek::mad:

    Afternoon all :)
    Still to do:
    Dinner from stores
    Walk dog
Renew my olbas oil / teabag cat deterrents in the front garden (thanks to Mrs F for this idea, it does work!). They must have lost their smell in all the heavy rain though, as I found a big pile of cat poo in the gravel this morning
    Water anything that needs it
Flick around the lounge and dining room furniture with a duster

Time to get on with something now I think!

Wow I didn't even know that was a thing! We do have this problem in our back yard so might be something we need to try.:T

Yes, do try it, it really works, though you have to redo it every so often, especially if the weather has been wet. What you do is to put couple of drops of Olbas oil on a still warm used teabag (what I do is save up a day's worth and pour boiling water over them to reheat them). Then just scatter them around problem areas. Quite harmless, and you can just add them to the compost or household rubbish when 'spent' :)

This was a tip I pinched from Foxgloves, who posts on this thread :)

    Afternoon Frugal Friends,
Oh, what a mad day......had to attend a civic event earlier & it was too early in the day for me to achieve anything much beforehand & of course by the time it was over, it was too late to start tackling my usual extensive Friday list (Friday is my big cleaning day, getting organised for the weekend, I get all sorts of stuff done & out of the way on a Friday). Oh well, mr f is working tomorrow, so I shall be without wheels & will try to catch up & progress a few projects. Today's meagre efforts:
*Sorted a pile of ebay items for condition & weighed them to assess correct postage.
*Sold 2 of my re-listed items. Buyers both paid instantly so I got the items wrapped & rushed straight out again to post them. Slowest queue in the world in the PO. Chose cat some Kit-e-Kat while I was waiting....he may as well have the chance to lick all the jelly off a different brand for a change :-/
*Baked biscuits. Why? First lot out of the oven, 2nd lot still in & smelling gorgeous. I have heaps of things I need to do, but fancied baking biscuits. Life is short. I shall not walk this way again. Biscuits it is!!
*Did a few surveys & filled in shopping diary for the 2-week survey task I'm doing.
*Sainso's shopping delivery later tonight.......in fact late. Between 9 & 10pm. We look for the £1 'green' delivery slots when they are already having to come out to someone in your neighbourhood so are looking to maximise deliveries/minimise their costs. Last shop of May's budget. We are going to come in at about £1.50 under budget, so I'm happy with that.
*Make tomorrow's packed lunch.....or I will be doing when the shopping has arrived, otherwise mr f will be taking biscuits.....& more biscuits.
*Eat a biscuit to see if the quality is up to standard. Mmmm. Yes, seems ok. Might need to double check. Don't want to make a hasty decision about quality based on one biscuit if they are all slightly different.
*Just heard that mr f's bus is running late, so I think I may force myself to get the hoover out just to make a start on the cleaning, then I will have more of tomorrow for more enjoyable stuff.
Dawn - Glad the old teabag/Olbas oil method is working. Yes, you do need to replace quite regularly. Once the cat poo is once again the dominant odour to the offending cat, they'll start off their bad behaviour again. While the Olbas is strong, it gives the message 'this is not my latrine area'. We don't get much of a problem despite lots of cats on our street as our own cat is large & quite feisty!
OK, must clean at least something.......no little hoovering pixies are going to pop in overnight to do it for me.................(I now want a hoovering pixie more than anything except a pair of strappy platform boots I saw in a shop window earlier this year.........)
STOP CHATTING FOXGLOVES & GO & FETCH THE HOOVER!!!!!
    (Boo)

2026's challenges: 1) To rebuild our Emergency Fund to at least £5k.
    2) To read 50 books (12/50) 3) The Re-Shrinking of Foxgloves 8.1kg/30kg
Remember....if you have to put it on a credit card, extend your overdraft or take out a loan to buy whatever it is, you probably can't afford it, as that's not your money, it's somebody else's!

    Evening everyone :D
I've survived another week at work, and it's only one more week until half term! :j
MTC - will keep fingers crossed that this maisonette works out for you. I've done the bare minimum required to keep afloat with work so that I can have a weekend doing other stuff, although I do need to start looking at some exam stuff.

    [STRIKE]:cheesy: check banking and PAD[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]:cheesy: mark 2 sets of books[/STRIKE]:j
    [STRIKE]:cheesy: write year 9 and 10 reports[/STRIKE]:j
[STRIKE]:cheesy: get dd to cheer and to gymnastics[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]:cheesy: get ds to football training[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]:cheesy: try not to stress
[/STRIKE]:cheesy: hang a load of washing out before work Good job I didn't do this as it pittled down this afternoon.
[STRIKE]:cheesy: make time for me tonight - crochet![/STRIKE]

Also have managed to bag a nsd today apart from medical stuff (which never counts!) DS doesn't have any football tomorrow so I've done a quick bit of housework tonight so I can lie in late tomorrow without feeling guilty.

Morning all :hello: it's Friday :j:j:j it's felt a long time coming for some reason. DNMS not seen you for a few days, hope your ok.

    Friday will mainly consist of:
    Check banking, FPL and surveys
Must do that survey with photos I didn't do yesterday
Work - boo. Hot drink for commute, lunch and snacks to work. Last of hm soup.
    Tea from stores/freezer dive
Washing drying on airer that was done overnight
Quick shower, let hair dry naturally
One thing from May/annoying things later
Might try and do some charity shop sorting tonight if I have the energy
Use free milk that was left on the doorstep by local milk man as advertising
Update myc0upons for me s. As I've had a couple tracked from shop at weekend. Well worth doing even if you only shop there occasionally as they bespoke the offers so there is always something an it's on top of what you get elsewhere

Think that's all, check back later. PF.

Done everything on my list except charity stuff. However, today bought some very disappointing news. It will take some considerable time and energy to get over and not be drawn down by it. Don't see this evening making any progress on either :( have a ridiculously busy day tomorrow and I really just want hibernate.
MTC fingers crossed on new place. :)
