Friday 20th May - what small DFW things will you do today?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important :money:

Morning all :hello: it's Friday :j:j:j it's felt a long time coming for some reason. DNMS not seen you for a few days, hope your ok.
Friday will mainly consist of:
Check banking, FPL and surveys
Must do that survey with photos I didn't do yesterday
Work - boo. Hot drink for commute, lunch and snacks to work. Last of hm soup.
Tea from stores/freezer dive
Washing drying on airer that was done overnight
Quick shower, let hair dry naturally
One thing from May/annoying things later
Might try and do some charity shop sorting tonight if I have the energy
Use free milk that was left on the doorstep by local milk man as advertising
Update myc0upons for me s. As I've had a couple tracked from shop at weekend. Well worth doing even if you only shop there occasionally as they bespoke the offers so there is always something an it's on top of what you get elsewhere
Think that's all, check back later. PF.0 -

Hi All!
A good week this week. I have £450 in bank account to last me until pay day a week today. Albeit, most of that is tied up in things like oil, car repairs, insurance, etc. I have about £55 of real money to spend, which is good going, I think.
I only spent about £7 this week in total, and that was on groceries - packed lunch every day, watching my office co-worker go to Pret, Subway and Sainsbury's every day (how does he afford it!?).
Lovely day here!October 2015 = -13242.16 DFD 28/10/2016 £0 :T0 -
Its Friday! :T
Big hugs to everyone.... DS1 (5) and DD (3) are driving me insane. They can not get on lately and no matter how much I talk to them, take away toys etc.... I walk out the room and they are back at it again. I am at my wits end :mad:
- school run - done
- entertain DD and DS2 - done, DD likes spending time with my mums neighbours and their dog!
- nursery run with DD
- surveys - done
- meal plan for next week and shopping list for tomorrow
- check bank and update finances - done, for the first time in months I have got the bills paid early so I have no choice but to live on whats left rather than burying my head in the sand and end up borrowing or paying bills late!
- ironing
- early night as DD has an early start at ballet tomorrow

Some positive news... I have found a property within our budget, with three bedrooms that accepts housing benefit. Its above a shop though, but split level maisonette. I need a guarantor(s) and may be able to find them as the required income is a lot less than the previous property we were interested in. Its being refurbed so viewings in a couple of weeks. Fingers crossed!DMP Started June 20160

Afternoon all

Thanks for starting us off, PF
I was wondering if DNMS is ok too. Hope she posts today. If you are reading, we are all thinking of you
MTC, My two older children were two years apart too, and they would argue just as you describe - even if one looked at the other, it would cause an argument, and yes, it used to drive me mad. But they are great friends now they are grown up
For me today:
So far:
Quick whizz round downstairs (and the actual stairs) with the hoover
Breakfast and lunch from stores
Printed off some paperwork for my business, which is an effort in itself, as a) I always have to fiddle with the printer to get it to work, and b) the dog barks frantically every time he hears it, so to try to stop him, I have to pick him up. Think of me, trying to print off my invoices, fiddling with the buttons on the printer with a hysterical terrier tucked under my arm :rotfl:
Checked ebay listings - no sales as yet today 3 items now sold
Must fetch another box up from the garage tomorrow and list some more!
Walked to sales unit (free exercise), tidied up, put in some new things. A few small bits had sold
Still to do:
Dinner from stores Done, made shepherds pie with the base I made yesterday. Enough for tomorrow too
Walk dog Done
Renew my olbas oil / teabag cat deterrents in the front garden (thanks to Mrs F for this idea, it does work!). They must have lost their smell in all the heavy rain though, as I found a big pile of cat poo in the gravel this morning  Done - also tidied some of the planters and replaced some past it plants with new ones that I have grown
Water anything that needs it Done, fed some of the planters as well
Flick around the lounge and dining room furniture with a duster Oops, one for tomorrow now I think
Time to get on with something now I think!0 -
