How to find cheaper flights?

I'm not very good at it, basically we're planning to go to santarini on the 21st July to 24th. are there any good sites for finding cheap tickets? We tried skyscanner but the cheapest we could find is £400 for a return ticket:( thats way too much for travelling within EU!

If anyything, Skyscanner often understate the price, although I have just tried from Manchester (only 20th to 23rd from here) - £230pp return. Does it have to be Santorini? Try <your local airport> to Greece for the same dates - from Manchester, there are 11 cheaper islands. (I'm not a Santorini fan btw...).

What's travelling within the EU got to do with it? It's meant to be a free market where supply and demand dictates price.

You want to travel on specific dates at peak time so you've limited your options.

Try searching for UK to Greece and £170 comes up for Crete and Corfu.

Try UK to Santorini whole month July and I can see £238 from Manchester 20th to 23rd. £283 from London Gatwick for 20th to 23rd.

The more flexible you are with departure airport, destination and dates the cheaper you travel will become.

Demand for flights direct to Santorini is generally high and you also want to go at a period of peak demand, cheap is highly unlikely.

Consider flights to Athens and fast ferries to Santorini.
