a deal with China, could create revenue for Uk as a middleman, for example, Chinas massive supply of steel, coal basic infrastructure, could be bought by us at discount and sold on to India to create the massive infrastructure that they need.

Surely India would deal direct with China and cut out the middle man........Not sure that's going to work to be honest

Name me a single affluent country that has joined since 2002 and name me a single affluent country that wants to join in the future.

You continue with fallacious and nonsensical arguments.

Fallacious?.............How so am I mistaken.I assumed "Fallacious" definition was "Mistaken belief" so I'm happy for you to show how I've been mistaken into believing anything I've posted. :)

If all the future entrants who will be joining within the next 10yrs are poor countries where will the growth come from the subsidize these countries?.

They will need huge amounts of EU money/investment to bring them up to standard. Where does that money come from when the EU is stagnating and only a few of the 28 member states are net contributors.

Poland was a very, very poor country when it joined and the EU has pumped in €180,000,000,000 (180 billion) between 2004-2020.

Discussing the probability that the UK's net contribution to the EU will more than likely go up by a substantial amount is relevant.

Say for instance you wanted to rent a property.I'm sure you would ask what the annual rent increase would be,service charges, how long the tenancy was for etc etc before you consider signing the tenancy agreement.

Funny how the supposedly educated in society will do anything not to answer answer the questions. Perhaps I'm wrong but I thought a "Forum" was a place to debate.

Miss S ,ever considered a job in politics as you definitely have the right attitude.......

The UK is not in the Schengen area and it therefore has border checks.
Therefore Brexit will not make a difference.

I'm struggling to respond in a way that won't result in you reporting me.

It's tough, because even if I just say 'this is nonsense' you'll probably do so anyway.

So I'll just leave your quote there for others to make their own decision on.

India along with alot of countries cannot get the deals as they need longer term payment structures with interest rates that are not enormous. That is simply an example of things could work, along with the manufacturing i mentioned earlier, these are simply examples that the UK could aim for.

The Uk single strongest and weakest export market is financials, this only supports london really and yet its single percentage points of size or growth potential when looking at the UK as a whole.

the EU now only account for 15% of global trade, when we joined it was the largest at 35%. There is another 68% we can aim at if we leave along with no doubt retaining 5-10% within Europe.

Leveller is accurate with his points regarding the poorness of countries that have recently joined and will join. There is a cost to the UK for this and it will only grow, anyone who thinks otherwise should start doing some real research.

What do we want to sell to China, India, etc. which we cannot at the moment?

As for manufacturing, it seems that Germany is doing quite well, including in selling to China, etc. So how is the EU holding us back?

I feel that the EU is a convenient scapegoat for everything.

German manufacturers are quietly enjoying the weak Euro that's caused by the f-e-ckless* southerly EU economies, all locked into the same currency. So Germany is benefiting, but for all the wrong reasons.

*why aren't you allowed to spell this word correctly in MSE?

Miss Samantha, you seem to be blindsided with the governement talk and cannot see the lies or what is obvious with a little research.

    1) The uk has growing immigrants over the last couple of years and is officially forecast to grow further.

    2) The EU has only poorer countries left to bring in, and they are cost every country within the EU billions.#

    3) Germany as the main manufacturing hub of Europe is in enjoying the weak euro as they're exports are growing further.

    4) every one of your counter arguments centre on next 3-4 years and nothing in excess of 10 years why is this? is it because you have no idea whatsoever of how Britain could progress/regress
