Morning all,
I'm feeling a bit yucky today as I seem to have picked up a tummy bug and had a disturbed night.I've had to cancel my afternoon helping out at school which I'm peeved about as I love going-think I'm over the worst of it but dont want to risk passing any germs on.Lylapooch had a much shorter walk this morning. She woke me up at 5.30 barking, think she could hear a noisy bird at the back.
DGD came for tea last night dressed in a full length 'Queen ' outfit. Her pre school were having a Queens 90th celebration day and had invited a local retired footballer. His charity has paid for them to have a new outdoor play area & the local paper turned up and took some pics so she was full of it,then after tea she was helping Grandpa to push the wheelbarrow round-still in 'the dress',quite a sight to behold
My moneysaving for yesterday was getting 2 2 dine for a £10 for us all for tea and using the wine to give my SisIL for her birthday today
Judi glad you feel a bit better in the light of day,if I'm lying awake during the night its when I tend to start worrying about stuff.Enjoy your day with DGS .
HH hope youre feeling ok now.
Dumpling, sounds like you had a hectic day-well done and rest up today, thats what I'm planning as I'm feeling a bit bleary eyed now.
Hope you all have a good day xx:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -

Everything always looks much worse in the early hours especially when you are tossing and turning. I hope things work out better soon.

Your meals always sound so nice.
I have four frozen portions of a chicken , veg noodle dish for DDs and have some sausages to add to gravy and mash to make another couple of portions to freeze later.
Mail finally seems to be redirecting properly after my complaining a week or so ago. The upstairs boarded up walls have been plastered and the downstairs hall plastered ready to paint next week. I hung up one pair of the new bedroom curtains and they really do seem to pull the room together. I am not hanging up the other pair yet as there is still work to be done in there.
Colder today but at least it is not raining and pleased I got a lot of laundry dried before the weather changed. I am not sure if any of the family are able to come round at the weekend so might just treat a DD to the cinema on Saturday instead.

Hi all! Only a quick post, hope all is well with everyone?
Have to say having done a bit of travelling in and out of London in the past week I'm glad it's done now. Hate it! It's knackering, no wonder they all look so miserable there!
About to make dinner and do day 3 week 3 of the couch to 5K run, why I do it I don't know as my ankles and calves are not thanking me, but I'm determined to keep it up.
Start my new job in earnest tomorrow after 2 days of inductions, not sure if I'm excited or terrified, probably both!
Have a good evening everyone :beer:0 -
Today I have been for short hops on 6 buses and one local train. I am cream crackered and feel grubby.
I only had to pay for the bus to get to the office though.
OH cooked least said soonest mended.
Day off tomorrow and I have taken the momentous decision to leave my laptop at the office.I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back0 -
Trip to see OH's consultant want very well. OH is no longer having the dizzy problems, so he has been handed on to the cardiologist......we see him in August. The consultant did say that he was going to recommend tha OH goes onto the new anticoagulant, we will see what our GP thinks. We did get a report on the scan he went for, everything seems to be ok, so no real idea why he gets the stomach pain.......we will hear about that when we go to see Mr Thomas again.
My cold is really coming out, my head feels so heavy I can hardly hold it up and my nose is running, cough not as bad as OH.0
