Well done Dumpling you are doing grand, and I'm sure everyone here is so proud of you in doing your best to conquer your fears.
Judi, hope you can resolve things.

Weather looking a bit overcast at the moment as though it can't make its mind up to rain or not :):).
Got my big shop done and dusted yesterday and spent £46.70 which will more than cover the next week to ten days.Stocked up on lots of fresh fruit and veg and UHT milk as I find because I don't use a lot of milk it seems to last a lot longer than the fresh stuff. Nabbed some sweet chilli chcicken breast in lidls at 30% off so several dinners there as I wrapped and froze them when I got home.Morrisons and lidls seemed to have lots of bargains so although I spent a little more than I expected I am happy with the results and no shopping for me for a while :):):):)which makes me a happy bunny as I loathe and detest shopping :)
Even managed to get some treats for my DGS which will be used over the next week or so. Big box of 10 Capri-Suns for £2.00 which will come in handy at half term as I freeze them (a bit like Jubblies :)) and if its hot it cools them down in the garden :), I usually make their ice lollies but a treat now and again won't break the bank.
Hope everyone has a good day I'm just off for my morning mile before it rains as it seems a bit darker over the River Medway which I can see from my study window

<<Hugs for those in need >>

    Cheers chums

    Morning

Hugs to those that want/need them x

Happy birthday to those with a birthday x

DH up and gone to work stupid early. DS1 up and gone to work. DS2 now up and getting ready for school.

Overcast cloudy and misty here this morning, but not cold, it's supposed to get out warm and sunny later, we'll see. Washing to go on the line shortly.

Dinner last night was HM chicken, bacon and mushroom pie, mash, veg and gravy - all eaten and enjoyed by us all. Tonight will be gammon, egg, mash/chips and peas.

Work yesterday was a nightmare we had major technology problems that lasted through the day, I spent a good part of the morning on the telephone with the engineers them giving me instructions on what to press etc in the machinery to try to get it to work correctly. It still wasn't working properly when we closed last night, I'm now on days off so hope they get it sorted overnight. Pleased now to be on days off, and not back until Monday.

I have all the normal list of chores to do, so will be cracking on with those. Will just potter along getting it all done.

We're going away tomorrow for a couple of nights and I can't wait, we're seeing good friends we haven't seen for a while, so will be good to catch up.

Turned pc on this morning to be met with a screen stating it was doing updates, these updates took nearly an hour to load and then there was another screen of updates - all in all the computer was switched on at 5.40am and it's only been in the last 20 mins that I've been able to use it! Hoping it's not disturbed anything that's going to give me problems.

    Keep safe and well x

Well done Dumpling. Many years ago I was in your shoes, didnt leave the house for almost a year. Doctors were not as savvy about mental health issues so I had to sort it myself. Dorothy Rowe's books were my godsend. If it hadn't been for them I would have still be stuck, scared of everything. Since then I have worked full time, flown, cruised, gone to concerts and pretty much anything I wanted to do. It takes time but you will get there. Good luck and feel free to PM me if I can offer any support.

PS - I found out yesterday that it's possible to buy National Lottery tickets from the tills at Tesco. The woman ahead of me at the big Oban one yesterday seemed to buy one (I wasn't paying too much attention) so I asked the assistant, she confirmed that it was possible.

Now I don't normally buy National Lottery tickets, only once or twice a year, but I bought one there and then. Big long piece of paper.

Anyway, seems better than queuing again at the kiosk.

    Good morning everyone.

I've been up and went to the gym and I'm now just at my desk in work, so a good start to the day.

Judi - have a great day with your grandson. I'm sure he'll say he had a lovely time, like one of his previous visits. Try not to worry.
Dumpling - I can't remember what the ingredients are off the top of my head however I'm sure I read of a drink to have before bedtime to prevent cramp. I'm sure it had a lot of salt in it so i don't imagine it'd be tasty but if it cures you then it's worth it. I'll have a google later.
Gers - I didn't know that! Very interesting and I'll probably do that the next time I buy one, whenever that may be.

Can’t remember if I said yesterday, but I got my £150 incentive for switching to First Direct!!! That’ll cover that silly parking ticket that I didn’t deserve along with a birthday gift and a dress for my GF which I got in the ASOS sale (MSE) for her holiday later this month.

I made a big batch of hearty vegetable soup that I’ll use as dinners for the next 5 days and I bought Turkish yogurt from Lidl to go with my homemade muesli in the mornings and while I was there I bought 49p cous cous for lunches at work – just add hot water. So my meal planning is done for the next 5 days or so.

Hope you all have a good day.
  • Good Morning everyone, nice and sunny here this morning but cooler than it has been, not cold by any means but long sleeves are a good idea. I'm off to the city on the bus today for a trip to the nice vegan shop as they have the best loose herb and spice collection I've seen for quite some time and I need some top ups as we seem to be curry crazy at the moment. I've just been up the garden to open up the polytunnel and greenhouse and we've got peas in the poly that are filling nicely, can feel the peas inside the pod already, yum!

He Who Knows thinks he'll go and annoy the fish in the local lakes later on this morning so I've made him a packed lunch to take and we've got a couple of nice YS rump steaks courtesy of the butchery at Mr.t for our supper. I've also just picked a lovely bunch of asparagus from the garden to go with them, 'licious!!!

DUMPLING two outings in one day, WOW just WOW!!! well done girlie!!!

Have yourselves a nice day all, Lyn xxx.
  • Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one especially Judi, hang in there girl.

Well done Dumpling, you are getting there. I have to admit I have never been afraid of going out but did suffer with depression at one stage, it took quite a while to get over it, there was not help in those days, just medication from the Dr.

Bad night for me. OH slept like a baby, it was after one before I went to sleep and then seemed to wake every hour on the hour, got a bit fed up. I seem just to have the cold, not the awful coughing fits that OH had.

Off to see OH's consultant, I am hoping he will put him on an annual review. He seems to be a lot better since the Cardiologist upped his heart medication. I need to nip into Aldi on the way, fresh veg required. I am cooking at lunch time, it will be well after 6pm before we get back, no way am I cooking then. I get exhausted travelling.

It seems to have rained most of the night, the new water barrel had about an inch of water in it. I need to get hold of K. to come and fit it for us.

Thanks all. Things always seem worse in the early hours of the morning don't they? I'm probably worrying over nothing.

Lovely to have my Grandson here. He seems to be playing nicely by himself.

    I'm so blessed.

    Morning all,

Well done Dumpling. You are doing SO well X

I'm having a 'doing day' today, washing, ironing cleaning etc.

I contacted our local Soup Kitchen, which does so much work for homeless on the Island, and offered them our chest freezer, it's in great working order and only a few years old - they were so grateful, it was a pleasure to donate it - such a small gesture from us, they said it would make a big difference to them.

Massaman curry tonight using the LO roast from Sunday - better go and make the paste.

    Take care all x
