were you doing at Morrison's at the time?
a landowner complaint may resolve thisFrom the Plain Language Commission:

normally Parking Eye dont take pictures of cars in bays so I think you are mistaken there
they have anpr cameras on entry and exit which show what you said and show the arrival and departure times, so the NTK will state the duration of time on site. so any pics are of entry and exit , at the boundary , not parking
their "contract" with you depends on landowner authorisation and signage as well as consumer laws
so if there were no signs (hard to believe with PE as they always put signs up) then in theory the contract is null and void because its based on signage, so I suggest you take some pictures of the car park signage, or the car park with no signage at all, as your "defence"
in future, assume all private land is monitored, and avoid0 -

I am not local that area so its not practical for me to drive back there just to take pictures of the signage especially with my circumstances as they are at the moment.
What does your comment 'defence' mean? Lol I am merely asking for advice about whether I should pay it or not and will pay it if I have to but on this site it appears to say that this is a scam so its rather confusing when I've received a reply like yours as I am not going to pay into a scam at a time when I am in between jobs so really dont have the money to spare anyway.
all non-public land is private land and so all or almost all supermarket car parks are private land , as are hospitals and retail parks and leisure centres and airports and train stations etc
they dont have to have signs up telling you its private land, just like I dont have a sign up on my driveway at home
if its not council operated land and roads, not the highways agency, not an unadopted road, then its private, it goes without saying, so the adage is , if you dont have permission to park there, dont , because you are a trespasser and the landowner could take you to court, for trespassing
and this could easily escalate to a court case (MCOL) in the small claims court, hence the use of my word "defence"
PE issue over thirty THOUSAND court claims per annum , which is where yours will go if you IGNORE it
it may be a sc@m, but at the moment its unregulated and they can and do try to enforce these tickets like they did with Beavis over the last 2 years and he lost 3 times (3 courts , 11 judges), the last one being last november at the supreme court
but the signs were on the car park he overstayed on, plus it was PE that took him to court for ignoring the NTK
read the NEWBIES thread etc, plus parking pranksters blogs , read his latest blog about what he said at the parking summit last week
then decide what to do when you understand what we already know
BTW, its not our job to tell anyone to pay, or not, its your decision , once you know all the facts
but if there were no signs up, their case is fatally flawed under contract laws and consumer laws
but its unlikey that a supermarket like Morrissons would have pay and display , because they use ANPR cameras to monitor sites, asda used to have p & d signs and machines but hundreds of private car parks dont, my local Morrissons has no signs up either , but its not monitored either
check google earth for signs , or get somebody living in that area to take pics and email them to you , be proactive, or you will be in court where the signage issue will dominate0 -

if you were not a patron of Morrissons they wont help you even if you complain !!! , you blagged a car park bay for free and its those actions they have employed PE to deter on their private land
if you appeal you will probably be refused and issued a popla code, then you can use legal arguments to try to win at popla
if this fails they have 6 years to take you to court, under MCOL (google it)
if you fail to get it cancelled , you will be paying, the only question is , how much you will pay ? lol0
