Good morning all,

A lovely bright morning here as well.

We both did some more gardening yesterday so the back garden is looking tidy now. My goodness there seems to be a lot of slugs about in our garden, I hope it doesn't offend anyone but I put salt on their tail because they absolutely eat everything in sight. They are even eating the tulip leaves which I have left in tubs for the time being.

I am going to have to order a new cooker soon, the one I have is a bit unpredictable.

Himself has decided he doesn't want a wooden floor in the sitting room so it will be carpet. He thinks it will feel cold, and because of his new medication he seems to be cold much of the time, so carpet it is. I think we will have the same as we had on the stairs and landing so we don't have different colours all over the place. I think we will order that at the weekend.

DGD and BF are having a wonderful time in Milan, and I think they are hoping to go to Como today. We have had some wonderful holidays on Lake Como, but she isn't ever so fond of water, so I don't know whether she will jump on a boat.

    Have a good day all

    Good morning everyone

It's another beautiful, bright morning here today. I have the ceiling fan on already as I was hot and bothered after having a shower and getting dressed. I have a fairly nice day planned with a visit from my friend this morning. It will be lovely to see her and put the world to rights over a cuppa :).

DD16 is home today as she is very stressed over her exams. She has three tomorrow so asked if she could stay home and revise. The other girls have gone off to school ok and hubby left for work before I got out of bed :D.

I've just pulled a couple of steaks out of the freezer so that's tea sorted for hubby, the girls want chicken and I will have some leftover pasta bake. I am very nervous for SW tomorrow, I think it's because I only need a pound to get my stone off and I don't think I've done it. I will drink lots of water today and eat light and have everything crossed.

Well, I'd better ring the school and then have a quick tidy up before my friend arrives. Hope you all have a great day whatever you are up to, take care xx

    Morning all

It's beautiful and sunny at the moment hope it lasts, I've got some pork chops for the BBQ if it stays nice

Camelot you sound like you've had a very productive weekend

Redruby. I could do with getting some tops for the summer too, I have a gift voucher for Meadowhall that needs spending :D

Next door have a new puppy a French bulldog , it's gorgeous I'd love a dog but the cat is so scared of dogs it wouldn't be fair

Need to do some washing and a little tidy up other than that it would be nice to go for a walk somewhere

Have a lovely day everyone xx

    Morning :hello:

The new fence posts are in, just need to paint them now. That's all I can do until til the chicken wire arrives. The garden looks odd – tatty fence with some bamboo canes propping up extra wire I've put on top and a line of taller posts in the middle of the chicken run :D Can't wait til it's finished, it'll look so much neater and Scampi will have more room to run around.

I've woken up with aching muscles, from my waist to my knees, very odd! It hurts a bit to walk, hopefully it'll feel a bit better after a warm shower. How much I get done today depends on how much I can move :D I'm definitely going to move the tomato plants into the greenhouse, I want to plant them but might have to leave them in their pots for now. Apart from that, I'll just pottering about.

LaineyT if you send your photo of Bill to someone who uses nin-apple, they could perhaps put the picture up for you
Coxy my son went through a chubby stage at about the same age, and it went on for a couple of years. Before that, he'd been a skinny little thing and then the extra weight just vanished, a puberty thing perhaps.

    Goooooood morning!! Happy Monday chums.

By the sounds of things, most of you had a productive weekend!

Saturday was a trip into Edinburgh with the GF as she was looking at a new car. Didn't get one as was too expensive though. I did manage to get a £30 parking ticket as my back wheel was "just over the yellow line" as the warden said just as I arrived back to my car. Bummer! Could have really been doing with that money.

Yesterday was a round of golf in the sun with a buggy. Wonderful afternoon. My friend invited me a he was given a voucher for 2 people, so in return I paid for a buggy for us which coincided as a birthday present for him.

I'll aim to rack up 5 NSD's this week while simultaneously cutting out junk food which is the sort of expenditure which tends to ruin my NSD's.

    Anyhoo, my quote for today is a favourite of mine, which I think works best when said in a Scottish accent;

"Don't confuse my saftness for daftness"

I will always be on the more sympathetic side when issues arrive, in my personal or working life, however it's not naivety or being weak, I'll take a mental note and won't forget.

Horrendous night again OH coughed all day yesterday. Did eventually fall asleep, but woke at 5am and coughed solidly for over half an hour, I thought he would break a blood vessel. No point taking him to the quacks, he is allergic to so many of the antibiotics. I will ring the surgery and ask for the DR. To ring me when he finishes surgery.

We did get back to sleep, I woke a while ago, breakfast in bed again, not sure if OH will get up or not.

It's a sunny morning, no laundry to do unless I take the kitchen curtains down and wash them. I could do with spending a bit more time in the garden, will see how it goes.

Morning all, I hope you are well.
It's bright but chilly, here , hope it stays dry. Today I have to go to my local shopping centre. I need a new dress and DS 13 needs some new bits, as We are going to Glasgow on Wednesday to visit my eldest child. He is 33 on Thursday . I can't believe how time has flown. Tomorrow is also my birthday so we will go for a meal in Glasgow for both of us. He also said we could look around George square and a transport museum. We will only be there for two days but will be quite busy.
I need to crack on as so much to do. Hugs to those in need of one. Good luck to those starting exams. DD 17 starts her AS levels tomorrow so is a bit stressed. DD 18 starts her A levels in a few weeks too. Dumpling all the best to your daughter. 3 exams in one day is horrific but I bet she does well xx
Spekysquarehead sorry about your parking ticket. That's very annoying. I hope some money comes by you in a different way, to make up for that.
Right off now. Have a lovely Monday xxx

Had a strange message from youngest an hour ago.

"They have stuck me in the basement so ive quit".

So send a message to hubby... who blows his top at the slightest thing:

"Is Youngest ok?" being careful not to say too much.

"Yes" he said "he's fine, but i've had enough and its only Monday".

Nope i dont have a clue as to whats going on:(
