DWP sending DLA file over when passporting to PIP

Options
So I received the tribunal evidence from the DWP today and was shocked to find that my DLA evidence had not been transferred over to PIP despite me asking for them to do so both by answering "yes" to the person on the initial phone call when asked if I wanted it considered and asking this on the form.

it also wasn't available to the "HCP" on the day of my assessment.

If they're not going to bother doing it why ask if you want it?

The last DLA review was 18 months before the PIP transfer so it's not as if the evidence was out of date!

They really are useless. Did you keep copies so you can resend?

I didn't have some of the reports to begin with as they were written and sent straight to the DWP, hopefully they will appear in the medical records that I requested and I can send them to the tribunal itself.

It's apparent that between the "HCP" and the decision makers none of them had a clue about basic medical terms. The "HCP" wrote "Jen has diploplia which causes double vision, she used prisms to magnify text" erm diploplia is double vision, not a cause and prisms don't magnify! Also misspelling I wouldn't expect of a professional and allegations that I'm fine 10 minutes after losing conciousness, and this from someone who kept prattling on about how his wife ended up in the back of an ambulance when she fainted once.

Of course everything can be cured if I sit down so this wheelchair is obviously faulty. Debating wether or not to report this "HCP" to their governing body.

I received my text 3wks ago to say pip have received my paperwork however when I saw my gp Thursday, he has no correspondence from them yet at all and he has all my evidence from physics to consultants, MRIs and xrays. I am going to chase them up as I have also recently had an 'Access to Work' assessment completed for necessary equipment. It took a lot for me to decide to ,change my need from DLA to pip and asking for help, I put it off for 9mths as it's a real pride thing to admit you need more help and after the way they spoke to me I wonder how much more of a nightmare its going to be. Sometimes I think the more justified our need is the harder it is to get our dues.

They often don't contact GP's or consultants. If i were you i'd send all that evidence in yourself.

There is definitely evidence as my neurologist at the time wrote it at our last appointment and my cardiologist has also sent things in the past.

If you are feeling up to it complain but if its going to make you worse don't bother. Have you got a tribunal date ?
Play nice  Just because I am paranoid doesn't mean they are not out to get me.:j

When I phoned for my sons PIP form as his appointee I was asked if I wanted them to use any evidence from his DLA file.
I said they could use anything that was in there but I was told that due to Data Protection I would have to be specific about what I wanted them to use and when it was placed in his file, they couldn't just send everything over.

They didn't mention this to me at all. The person on the phone just said "would you like your DLA evidence to be sent over with your PIP application" and when I said yes she just said "ok, no problem". Don't see how it could possibly be a data protection breach as its the same claimant and the same governing body and they are happy enough to share information with other people like HMRC.

I will be complaining, have another complaint in the system from the mishandling of my reconsideration and will be complaining about the HCP to his governing body for not understanding basic medical terms like "diploplia" lying about tests carried out, fudging results and putting down downright dangerous and negligent suggestions on my form (the claimant would be safe to shower if she used a shower seat as black outs don't occur when sitting down), I might make a 3rd complaint to the DWP that between 2 (possibly 3 of the reply to me complaint is true) decision makers that none of them could google and work out that their "medical report" would have been more accurate if written by my 6 year old SEN niece.

Am thinking I'll request all info from DLA and ask gp to write report and chase them also as it sounds like they don't do any work at all. Oh and had recent assessment for access to work so will send too. Do they do any work??

I had that very same reply and they wanted specific dates but do they not realise that our lives are dictated by illness and medication not paperwork to claim what is rightfully ours. I get the feeling they can't be bothered and think you should do their job for them. It drags you down, do they not understand that!
