Questions about life after Sky

Sorry to hijack the thread, I was fully intending to cancel Sky but got an acceptable offer to stay, to reduce the price I gave up the multiroom part of the package.

What becomes of the Sky box that will now be disconnected? Will it act as a freeview from Sky box, or will it be tied in with the main box? Would connecting a Humax box to the leads on the ex multiroom box give me the record facilty i assume the non multiroom box won't have.

Hope that makes sense and thanks in advance for any ideas.

The extra box is yours to keep but it will lose its recording facilities, becoming a FreesatFromSky (FSFS) box.

Thanks for the swift reply, would swapping the extra sky box for a Humax pvr give me back the recording facility and proper free sat rather than sky free sat?
