Best time to book for 2017

Have been looking at prices to book for next May in Orlando. I have just come back and I am looking at similar holiday and dates but cheapest is about £1100 more expensive than I paid this year.
I did book this years holiday in mid March so a lot closer to travel date would this be the reason for big price difference or is it next years prices are a lot more?

Why do you want to go back?
It's a big world out there:cool:
If you're not going in school holidays then IMHO look about 3-4 months before as you did last time.
Too far out at the moment for May 2017 none school hols dates.0 -
I have been to lots of places in the states but it's for the kids,my youngest was just a bit young this time to enjoy it fully plus we had a break in middle to go out to the gulf coast. So we want to go back and do it again for kids to do all that's on offer.
Defo outside school hols as it's cheaper to pay fine than pay holiday prices.
In that case I will just sit tight and do same again.

depending on the law changes of course.0

The ones that seem almost inevitable given the recent court ruling.
The government wasn't happy at the determination and will no doubt enact legislation to clarify the issue around taking children out of school and potentially increase penalties and clarify that taking kids out for holidays shouldn't happen.0 -
Oh right with you now.
One would hope the government use some common sense on the issue.
I wouldn't take kids out of school at a critical time of school life but I really don't see it is an issue for a week or 2 per year.
The problem is there is no set figure for attendance they take in to account when deciding it. The attendance has to get down to 90% before the truancy team get involved yet a kid with 100% attendance gets taken out for a holiday and the patents get fined. My daughter has 100% attendance apart from our holiday.
Whatever the outcome I can see any changes taking a while to be implemented.0 -
Yes you are right it is a whole big country like I said before I have been to many places in the states previously, and I also said its for the kids after all they are coming with us.
Not being funny I only asked when people think is the best time to book for next May I didn't ask people's opinions on my choice of destination.0 -

Enjoy your stay and I sincerely hope that you find what you're looking for at the price that you want to pay for it
Consider looking on the Dibb as they are Disney people.0 -

Well said
Flights for May with scheduled airlines will go on sale next month
For now only packages are available for May and now you've a better idea of what you want to book it might be a better deal to book flights and hotel seperately. I second the dibb recommendation for advice . I rather like the suite hotels with a bedroom and seperate living room and kitchen -nice for when the kids have crashed and you want to sit and relax in comfort yourselves before bed .....and generally more space to spread yourselves too without having to stay further out in a villa.
https://www.kayak.co.uk or google flights will give you a range of prices once May flights are loaded.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0
