In the market for a new android mobile phone. Don't use it for games and rarely for internet access. Main functions are phone calls, texts and photos. Need good photos and long battery life. Rest is incidental. Recommendations?

    It's not a 'recommendation'.

My Ulefone Power has a decent Sony lens and battery. Lasts me 5 to 6 days before charging with moderate use, whereas with my Z3 Compact on Android 6 I'm still only getting 2 days. It also has a fingerprint sensor and 3GB of RAM (pretty much essential for Android these days).

    Cheap enough, also: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Ulefone-FDD-LTE-Smartphone-Android-Lollipop-Deep-Blue/dp/B01AY2XXMU
I shot a vein in my neck and coughed up a Quaalude.

Can I ask do you find the record button on the side of the phone as an issue when using the phone ?

No - it's a quick press to use the camera, a longer press to record.

The buttons on the side do take some getting used to, but overall it's a fantastic device for the noney - now with Android 6.

The phone is fine but I'm just concerned about pressing the button for the camera whilst using the phone but Ive bought a case for it which may solve the issue.

I hope you enjoy the device; I love mine.
