Hey guys. Anyone know how to get the MAC ID for the octopus smart meter? Can’t seem to find it. (Need it for signing up to n3rgy website) on my previous smets1 it was visible on the ihd menus. However on the chameleon ihd6 it’s nowhere to be found. Any help appreciated.
Mine's printed on the front of my meter. I can't see any way to display it on the IHD.

It is printed on the bottom of the IHD and available from the 'IHD Information' menu on screen.
In both cases it is called 'GUID'

That's the MAC address of the IHD, not the MAC address of the meter. They are different devices, so have different MAC addresses. The IHD is only connected to the HAN, not the WAN.

    Went to octopus from
ovo and received the swop incentive. We use about 60 or electric and 10 of gas a month. Very frugal lights all on hue avoided 4-7pm and washing machining amd dishwasher on remote plugs.
The electric is a smart meter gas traditional as lowri beck for Ovo didn’t plan enough time.
I’m happy won’t suit anyone but nothing ever will.

Clearly Agile/Time of use tariff will not suit everybody :D
    National average pricing for
    Agile Tariff: Thu 13-05-2021
    Min: 14.4p (22:30)
    Max: 35.0p (17:30)
    Avg: 21.3p
    Avg Excl Peak: 19.3p
    Cheapest 4hrs: 14.9p
    Peak (4pm-7pm): 34.2p

Whatever the subtle distinction is, it works for me.

It is nevertheless the correct answer to the question as asked.

So it is the MAC address of the IHD that is needed for signing up to n3rgy website, not the MAC address of the meter (as per question asked)? Edit: Yes, it is the IHD MAC that is requested, e.g. https://homebrew.n3rgy.com/consumer-data/
I presumed nick really did need the meter MAC as the IHD MAC is so easily located.

I wonder if it suits anyone at the moment. My first two weeks on Go Faster have resulted in a considerable saving vs Agile. Agile prices may still come down yet, but I doubt I will come to regret switching tariffs.

Yep, my mistake. Was doing this in the early hours, and didn't omit the - "dashes" when inputing the GUID/MAC ID of the device, hence wasn't getting anywhere. Now having properly read what I had to do, it was easy.
