DAK if Octopus will add a second person`s name to the account, such as a spouse or partner.
A lot of companies will only speakj to the account holder and this could be tricky in certain circumstances.0 -

Does anyone or preferably someone who is already paying by Direct Debit after receipt of bill know how often the bill is produced by Octopus Energy? Is it monthly, quarterly or six monthly?0

Assuming that you mean variable direct debit, opting to pay the full balance, then they produce a statement after every meter reading that you submit and schedule a direct debit for any balance owing.wakeupalarm said:Does anyone or preferably someone who is already paying by Direct Debit after receipt of bill know how often the bill is produced by Octopus Energy? For example, I get a statement on the 23rd of every month (I have smart meters) and a direct debit is scheduled for the full amount around 14 days later. My mother submits readings manually when she gets a reminder email (once a month) and the same thing happens for her - statement next day and direct debit for full amount around 14 days later.

I've become so exasperated with EDF as my SoLR after Zog that I'm switching to Octopus. So far I'm quite favourably impressed. It was relatively easy to get through on the freephone number, the agent was friendly, helpful and efficient and he didn't try to sell me an expensive fixed tariff or dissuade me from switching. It was also easy to set up the app. Also very impressive, with lots of useful information in their blog about the energy crisis.I then sent an email asking them to switch me to Variable Direct Debit. It was dealt with promptly and effectively by Sandin.Obviously it's early days, but it's looking good. If nothing else, communicating with Octopus is a million times easier and quicker than the Chat nightmares of EDF and British Gas.3

Hi guys. Could anyone who is on a Tracker tariff check to see what version they are on? I would be interested to know as I am in a complaint with octopus and they claim that people who signed up to v2 are now on v3 etc. thanks.
If this is untrue this would be helpful to know.

Yes, variable direct debit. But how long do they take to produce the bill if you don't enter monthly readings. Do they produce a bill based on estimates monthly, quarterly or six monthly. I will be away for several months later in the year and want to know if the direct debit will be coming out monthly, quarterly or six monthly on receipt of bill.Umiamz said:

"If you don't send us readings for over three months, we'll automatically send you a bill based on estimates"wakeupalarm said:

Mine is unchanged showing Gas Tracker v2 on my account. I'm very happy so far as Gas Tracker has saved me around £5 so far in 3weeks compared to the SVT.SGB89 said:Hi guys.
