The fact is I believe, given their escalation over the years, I am one of the few that may be targeted as being taken down the legal route .....
Everyone is asked to start their own thread - you have been and need to do this!0 -
So far you have been unable to spell certificated and now seem to have reinvented the idea of a forum, which I understand is a place of discussion and comment.
Please note I am not asking for advice, nor am I trying to hijack Brightspark's post, merely imparting my experience and knowledge of the same letter that I and Brightspark have received from the same people on the same day, in the belief that there is strength in numbers.
Maybe Brightspark needs to know there are others who have the same letter, have the same concerns and don't buy into the idea that you just ignore it as Excel/DBCL do, on occasion take people to court.
Why do you need to be so rude? Letters from Excel/DBCL are bad enough I don't need it from the forum administrators.0 -
We aren't administrators - we are ordinary people who come here for free out of the goodness of our hearts with no other agenda (MOST of us) than to share knowledge about a scam - and we are trying to help you. We want to assist.
Any forum dealing essentially with 'legal' matters (such as parking tickets) MUST ask for one case one thread, because no two cases are the same. We aren't reinventing forums, it is just different here on this board which has no 'discussion' threads, just cases.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I have not attempted your spelling "test", not been rude to you, and am not an administrator.
We are urged not to feed trolls as that just encouraged more nonsense, but you are not being fair to the OP by continuing with this
You need to distinguish between a debt collector's correspondence (which the this thread is all about) - which should be completely ignored - don't ring them/write or email them - and correspondence from a PPC, which nowhere here do you see any advice to ignore!0 -
perhaps you should start your own thread to discuss your own case , you may in fact find reading 2 postings , one of which is a stickie , the other clear to read
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4816822 and
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5035663
the second one discusses debt collectors , and you might (after you read it) understand that a debt collector CANNOT take or start court action, and at best your only contact should be BY LETTER simply asking them to refer it back , not email every bloody member of staff and asking for a verification number that they have not got access to
over the last few weeks excel and a couple of others have hired the likes of DCBL and BW as the likes of debt recovery + and others are well known on a google search.
the previous posts on this thread TOLD you what to do , however you think you know best
in your 4 (only) posting you seem to have antagonised myself and others , so with that I and I am sure others will not assist you until you remove that chip off your shoulder.Save a Rachael

I followed the link from coupon-mad to parking prankster and on that forum followed advice which would appear different to the advice given on this forum with regard Excel/DCBL.
I would urge others to do the same. Follow his advice don't pay them but don't ignore them there are practical things you can do.
The letters we, Brightspark and others are receiving constitute a significant difference in terms of threat than what was being sent out before hence the difference in advice given by parking prankster.
Please note:
I feel individuals on this thread have been quite rude to me. I will not be posting on this site again as it is not a "forum" for discussion or comment.0 -
The Prankster posts here too and our advice doesn't differ - after all, you said ''I followed the link from coupon-mad to parking prankster''. So this forum's sticky advice thread led you there and you found what you were looking for.
If you need further advice in your case please start your own new thread later on. We are fully aware of how things have changed in some cases, since last year and help people with court defences and robust responses too.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thank you coupon-mad, your earlier post with the link was very helpful and your previous post polite in explaining the site. However, I still feel the same, even if people give their time freely they don;t have to be rude.
I haven't asked for advice on the site nor now will I seek it for the reasons stated.
No grudges, no chips. I will take my few posts (why does someone need to pointed this out), I will take my 20+ years of finance experience in housing and charities including advice charities which could have been useful and let you all get on with it.
I do hope those behind Excel/DCBL get stopped from causing utter misery in the end.
This is definitely my final post, have a goodnight. and
Goodbye.0
