I have just called Virginmedia and said I wished to cancel my contract as I felt I was paying too much and I was going to move to Sky or BT
They reduced my bill by£18.50 per month. Gave a one off credit of £50 increased my broadband speed to 200mb and gave me a new hub and an extra TiVo box for a bedroom.
They were prepared to give all of the above without even haggling although I was cheeky and asked for the extra TiVO box which thet agreed straight away. New 12 month contract which is fine.
I have been with them for a number of years and always managed to get something to keep my custom however this is the best one yet!! :j

Inspired by your post, I just rang virginmedia. Got £15 discount, new broadband hub and caller display. Not quite as good as your deal. But I'm happy with it. So thank you irjmorris0
