    It is.

    You have notified your insurer of an claimable event.

    Even if you do not make a claim, this may now be recorded on CUE which means you need to disclose it to any future insurer.

    You can't have a cosy chat with an insurer about a potential claim these days, unless you are happy to share it with the entire industry.

    Insurance is all about the potential of claiming. Your claims history is extremely important.

    So you are telling me that an insurance company could legally void a claim because I failed to communicate a potential claim before opening the contract.
    If this is true, why there isn't such an option when I asked for a quote? There isn't any "how many potential claims have you made in the last years", only the actual ones.

    Admiral ask if you have made any claim or suffered any loss.

    You must include any incidents that resulted in damage to property, items being stolen or injury to other people. You should include these incidents whether or not you made a claim, and whether or not you were paid for that claim.

    In case you may be interested, I claimed 269 pound with HSBC, I got the money 5 days after, I called Admiral to update the policy yet to be started and the premium didn't change. Win, win.

    I didn't read it anywhere. I work in insurance.

    Did you update Admiral with your new NCD amount? As this would now have gone down as you've made a claim.
