We are looking to depart Dublin on 4th July to stay in New York at the Wellington hotel for 4 nights then on to Las Vegas Caesars palace for 4 nights. We were quoted £2850 for the two of us
Thought that was a little steep, anyone offer any help getting it cheaper elsewhere

Those hotel prices look like they are from Booking.com, in which case they are exclusive of taxes. You'd need to add 14.75% plus USD 3.50 per night to the NYC price and 12% to the Vegas price. There would also be a USD 32 per room per night resort fee in Vegas, which may or may not have been included in the price the OP was quoted.0 -
Indeed, NY final price is around £525
Total Vegas price £5780 -
I'd've thought July 4th always will be expensive...0

I have a relative who has been flying with BA for 30 years to Dubai back and fourth to work. He asked me recently about air miles and said they are mine if i can get them.
How would i enquire about this if it is possible and maybe use them to make my journey cheaper...0 -

If you are saying you want to use his miles?
Best way would be for him to book the flights using his miles but with you as the passenger.0
