We have a pen but need some way of stopping her get into various rooms /stairsBefore metal baby gates and cheap crates became available, I made one of my cavalier pups a temporary pen from four pieces of metal garden trellis (from Do-it-All ). This was then used in the garden.
You could do this until the puppy grows; as they do ,very quickly.0 -

If the gate is too short could you add small blocks in between fittings and door frame?
This is exactly what my hubby did on our gate - we use it on the front door so that we can have it open in hot weather without the dog getting out. Works a treat.SPC 8 (2015) #485 TOTAL: £334.65
