Puppy Gate sought

We are looking for a puppy gate for an 80cm doorway
They appear to be limited to 79cm width !!
The only, wider, ones that I can find have gaps between the bars that are too wide (for babies rather than puppies)
The alternative is a freestanding one - that appears to have fixed feet that will mean that the gate, stands out from the wall
Any advice welcome....

Have a look at 'safetots'. They have loads to fit every size of doorway/stairs etc.0

Not recommending these as I've not used them, but just to show they can be extended. How big is the pup - would you be able to put something across an ordinary (and cheaper) baby gate to stop him squeezing through?

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
Thanks - but both of those are suitable for LARGE dogs - the bars are too far apart for a puppy !!Not recommending these as I've not used them, but just to show they can be extended. Infill it with something for now until it grows up then remove it.0

An 8 week old toy cockerpoo - 6cm is too large0 -

I agree with above poster about putting something on the gate temporarily, netting or something similar. Are you crate training? I found using the crate we had no need for a gate and also taught my girl early on to go to her bed if I was cooking etc. Still have the crate and she is 14 months but it never really gets used.
If the gate is too short could you add small blocks in between fittings and door frame?0 -
Rip up a cardboard box and thread it through the gate. Stopped my mini poodles getting through when they were little0

Before metal baby gates and cheap crates became available, I made one of my cavalier pups a temporary pen from four pieces of metal garden trellis (from Do-it-All ). This was then used in the garden.
You could do this until the puppy grows; as they do ,very quickly.0
