DVLA code....car hire US

Will I need one of these? The documents don't mention this as a requirement but just thought that I would check.

Thanks.

Get one anyway. It's not as if it costs anything except a few minutes of your time

Ditto above, but having rented five vehicles in the USA since this policy came into play I have yet to be asked for it by Alamo.

I am renting from Alamo in a few weeks time in Vegas, I hadnt given the code a second thought. I doubt the USA even know what the DVLA is

I always take one as like earlier said costs nothing bar a few minutes of your time and a sheet of A4. I also take my old paper part of licence, worked nicely twice when caught for speeding in USA and cops both decided easier to tell me off than give me a ticket :)

Never been asked for one. Don't think the hire companies over there will even know or care about it.

That said it takes 3 minutes out of your day to get one, and doesn't cost you anything. So why wouldn't you do it? On the very rare off chance it does cause an issue, you'll definitely wish you had!
