Mornings guys :) thanks for starting us off Dawn :D

Have just spent the last 1 1/2 hours doing an admin last that I have been putting off for months. Have done about 75% of it but now have to have a break!

Weather here is wet, so sadly no gardening today. But like foxgloves there is some sowing and potting on & watering the greenhouse to be done

relook at the job vacancies I book marked yesterday and consider if I do actually want to do them

Need to do an hours work for the cafe writing up the weekend report

Update wombling total as yesterday found 52p and was given a bottle of diet coke :T

Clean house. Didn't do downstairs yesterday as was clearing garage so now need to do the whole house - before the week becomes about little madam

All meals from stores - think it will be homemade wild garlic pesto with chicken and pasta mmmmmm

Need to make the pastries today. Yesterday I made banana, raisin and cinnamon muffins mmmmmm might make some more!

leisure time - read book and recap on Fear the walking dead as I fell asleep towards the end!

Need to walk down to coop and get some milk

breakfast will be ys crumpets :T might make a batch of spicy tomato & lentil soup for lunch mmmmmm (actually depends on if I have things that need using up in the fridge...

Ok that'll do! have fun guys x

Legomum :( hugs. I missed your post about falling. I really feel for you. I'm still recovering from my sprained ankle (it's been nearly a month!). Rest rest rest as much as you can. It's frustrating as hell, plus I can only imagine with a broken wrist as well! Sending you heaps of super speedy get well wishes.

Just finished the mammoth task of tax credit childcare checks. About to send them half a ream of paper - had to find a jiffy bag to package it in!! Annoyed much. Our costs have been so variable though and I over estimated the first 7 months. :/ I've put all this in writing with explanations and even calculated the actual figures for them. Just want to draw a line under all this.

    On with the day...
    New total: £24,006 :(
    I will do this.

    So, my list for today

Put bean stew in the slow cooker - done - everyone eats at different times in the week which can be a nightmare.

3 hours at work - nearly done
Put two items on e@@y - done
    Post sold item
    One hour of ironing
    Clean bathroom
Hang up clothes at bottom of bed
Pick up DD from extra maths
Catch up on last nights Corrie
    Work 6-9

I really need to work out a plan to clean the house properly and oain all the outside fences.
Never again will the wolf get so close to my door
  • Well, I have decided to stop sticking my head in the sand and focus on starting my DMP and making repayments  I am going to be brave and go self-managed, I cant put it off anymore. Slightly freaking out, I know I need to make some desperate changes. Self confession time, I'm a smoker :embarasse:embarasse:embarasse and when I am stressed, down, anxious I smoke more. I know how much money is being wasted on this terrible habit, I just cant seem to stop :(

    Please dont judge me! x

    Hello All

Been trying to post all day but not finding the time. I was really excited to get our energy bill this month. It had gone from £113 last month to £54 this month. Woo hoo get in! Totally makes a few cold starts feel worth while.

Mtc no one is judging you! You can quit thoug with a bit of determination (and not to mention free nrt if you join a smoking cessation programme :T) honest it's not as hard as you might think. The first few days are the trickiest and then after that it's just maintaining. Have you heard of Alan Carr's easy way? You can pick it up for pence x

Hi all. Well another challenging day working both jobs. I started cooking curry then DS1 begged me to take him into town to meet friends. I am now sitting in the car 10 miles in the opposite direction waiting for DS2 to finish playing cricket. The curry might end up being out of a jar!

A few things have sold on eBay which I am pleased about. Oh and we have finally sorted our half term plans and booked 3 mights away. The campsite looks fairly basic but its £20 a night with electric so I can live with that!

Great news on the energy bills Bob!

Thanks all, its a very tight month what with one thing and another so it feels nice to have a couple of bright spots.

Yorkshire no shame in jar curry sauce if needed. You sound like you are working a lot at the minute.

Make the Change don't be ashamed of smoking. You can quit though if you want. Well done on doing the kids ISAs that's brilliant. They will be so happy in years to come that you have done that for them.
