Unsubscribe from Games
Somehow whilst my phone was in my pocket, I probably didn't lock it properly, I managed to subscribe to NLG Games.
The first thing I knew was when I received a text message saying "Thanks for subscribing to No Limit Games, 24hrs free, then £2.99/week, until you send 'STOP NLG' to 80206.
I tried sending 'STOP NLG', my phone warned me that I would be charged, which I believe is correct, but the text wouldn't send.
I'm on a Life simo deal with a £1 spend outside of allowance.
What should I do?

How far you into the free 24 hours ?
Can you top up the life sim ?0 -
The cost of sending the STOP message should be 'one standard rate message', usually somewhere between 2p and 18p depending on which network you use.
If you cannot use this method, there should be a telephone number you can call to end the subscription. Regulation 41 of the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 requires an 01, 02, 03 or 080 number. This requirement is repeated again in the PhonepayPlus Code of Practice. This number may be detailed in the original text message, on the service provider's website or may be found by using the PhonepayPlus number checker.0 -

Excellent, I was hoping you were around.
I'm more a pc guy, just getting into my first basic android phone.
I can't see a reason for the text not sending, it's sat as if it's been sent, but with a red triangle.
I'm slightly confused by the original message saying text 'STOP NLG', I would have expected it to be text just 'STOP'.
There is a helpline number 08000885466.Move along, nothing to see.0 -
It is usually just STOP, but this variation seems OK as it is detailed clearly in the original message.
You might also try STOP ALL.
As calls to 080 numbers are free from landlines and from mobiles, call that number as soon as possible.0 -

Thanks again.
I called the 08000885466 number, after a bit of advertising with an Australian accent, I chose the 'unsubscribe' option, couple of rings, and a very bored voice answered, (think I may have woken her), she asked my number, checked it against a list, said you're subscribed, do you want to unsubscribe?
I replied "yes please", she said "you're unsubscribed and a text will be sent".
Text immediately arrived confirming that I was unsubscribed.
Panic over. :beer:Move along, nothing to see.0 -
Keep an eye on the next few bills just to be sure that no money is taken.
Retain all of those text messages for a few months, or longer.0 -
Will do.
I'm on a Life 30 day sim deal and I already have the cap set at £1.Move along, nothing to see.0 -
Looks like this has been solved with no drama, unlike many other such threads.
The moral of the story is act quick, cancel the subscription. :-)0
