Private contract template?

Hey All,
So... my OH could really use a bike but can't has no savings, and is on a 0 hour contract so isn't eligible for a cycle to work scheme. I on the other hand am eligible to request a voucher.
I understand the terms of the scheme and I've already set plans in motion (bought advance fare train tickets) to start cycling to the train station myself on a bike I already own, even though I'm sure they don't have any checks to see if I'm the person using the bike which was purchased.
We both agreed that she will pay the net payments each month in to my account, but as I'm always overly cautious I'd still like some kind of written agreement to cover the payments if she falls in to the arms of another man or I for any reason can't pay (we've only been together a year. I'm a real glass half full guy as you can tell :money:).
Summary.... is there an existing template for a private contract like this?
I welcome all the comments saying it's a stupid idea and not to go ahead with it, why resist an absolute certainty? :rotfl:

Those bikes are a plethora of issues caused by either lack of maintenance, or maintained incorrectly. Unfortunately bikes don't have a log book :rotfl: Anyone that does look after them always ask for more than it's worth as it's their baby that they've spent so much time on (same as cars)
I would prefer to buy new so I know where it's been and that it's safe etc.Started 07/15. Car finance £6951 , Mortgage: 261k - Savings: £0! Home improvements are expensive0 -
I wouldn't do it. Firstly, the Cycle to Work scheme is for YOU to buy a bike for YOU to use. It's against the T&C for you to get a bike and give it to someone else to use. During the scheme the bike doesn't actually belong to you, you're essentially just renting it for a year and then at the end of the year you have the option of a) purchasing the bike, b) continuing to rent it, c) handing it back.
Secondly, the payments to Cycle to Work are deducted BEFORE tax so you could be setting yourself up for some unnecessary hassle there.
It is a daft idea, I don't even know why you're considering it when your GF could get a second hand bike cheaply off Gumtree or one of the many charities who sell reconditioned bikes.0 -

Cue the 'It's a stupid idea' crew :P I understand the policy, and I understand the gross and net payments, and that it's essentially a HP from my employer. I also know they have no way of governing who uses the bike or when it's used after purchase. Unless they park a suspicious looking pizza delivery van in my close :rotfl: .
The only other 'before tax' HP agreement I have is on a company technology scheme for my laptop, which has been running for 2 years 5 months and has 7 months remaining, without any hassle.
My question remains regarding a personal contract templateStarted 07/15. Car finance £6951 , Mortgage: 261k - Savings: £0! Home improvements are expensive0 -

if he doesn't pay, are you willing to go to court and sue him and explain how you lied to fraudulently obtain the bike? if not then your contract is useless.0 -
Give the GF your bike
Use the cycle to work scheme for your own transport0 -
Why doesn't she take the bike that you already own (lend it to her), and you take advantage of the cycle to work scheme and use the bike provided by that? No fraud there as you will legitimately be using the bike yourself that is provided by the scheme

if you don't trust them to repay the money, and are unwilling to treat it as a gift, then don't proceed.2021 GC £1365.71/ £24000

This has to be one of the most horrendous "problems" that i have ever read on the website.
be a decent loving partner and buy a bike!0 -
You think enabling someone who doesn't respect money or the concept of debt is synonymous with being a loving partner? If no-ones told you before, money doesn't buy you love mate, it buys you leaches hungry for more. Just because she's my age doesn't mean she is mature with her money, and in turn that doesn't mean it's her fault that she's not.
I've already written off over £300 that she's 'borrowed' for various unavoidable expenses. Our financial situation is 'just about getting by', and before you say a bike is a luxury, it's a necessity for someone with no other form of transport who sinks money into public transport daily. Meaning I would gladly take on an extra £30 a month for a year to help her out, but that money doesn't exist in a lump sum right now.
The request for a contract template seems to have been ignored and advice replaced with people passing judgement, carry on if you like but know that it's wasted effort on your part.
FYI to those with constructive advice on handing down my own bike, unfortunately it's 2 sizes too big for the OH and a hybrid, which she's not comfortable riding (skinny tyres). I appreciate the input though.Started 07/15. Car finance £6951 , Mortgage: 261k - Savings: £0! Home improvements are expensive0
