You could sell your bike, use the proceeds to buy her a bike, and use the cycle scheme for your new bike?

Otherwise you are breaking the terms of the scheme and could land yourself in trouble.

I actually didn't think of that Dealer, thanks for the suggestion! My own bike was only £450 when I bought it 4 years ago and I've just fixed it up which cost £75, but I'll stop in to the local shop and see what they think I can get out of it. It'll probably cover half or more of the cost for the OH's bike (I hope).

Edit: Turns out newer versions of my bike with upgrades are selling 2nd hand for £120, hardly worth it considering I just spent £75 :(

The reason no one is offering a contract template is a legally binding contract would be a document provided by a solicitor and we are prohibited by the terms of the board from offering specific legal advice. Seek out a legal board if you want a free contract. Considering you are seeking it to effectively break the terms of a different contract, you might find a secure one hard to find.

In the meantime, people have pointed out that you break the terms of the purchase scheme if you do what you are suggesting and offer alternatives. That is what happens here.

Btw, if you are already writing off money for her, are you sure taking on any debt for her is a good idea? While I appreciate your comments regarding an old bike, perhaps you could purchase one and use your skills to fix it up and teach her maintenance, so she can save her travel costs and buy a better bike in a few months.

You can get really sound second hand bikes for very little.

Or, have you tried Freecycle in your area?
