Birmingham city council PCN

Hi
I parked in a car park operated by the city council and while I was waiting for my kids to come out of competition at local arena. I had PCN because we did not get back to car in time and ticket was 15min over time. I had already been back to the car to place and additional ticket on it as we were unsure of how long the kids would be in arena. Anybody have any advice with how I should appeal against this

many thanks

Yes, post a picture of BOTH SIDES of the PCN in a new topic on pepipoo forum here (read some threads first to see what to show them):

HTH, most posters there do win in the end.

I am having problems logging on to that site at the moment waiting for administrators to reply.Has anybody else had any dealings with case like this on here to appeal? The reason we were late back to the car was because one of my kids got injured in the tournament we were attending could i use this as a reason for late return?

You could, but only if you are really rushed for time and the PCN is already almost at the 13 days during which you can appeal and still be re-offered the discount. Then get on pepipoo when you get your rejection letter, to get advice on the send stage appeal that almost everyone has to do before most then win.

But if you've only had the PCN since the weekend, for example, DO NOT RUSH. You have another week or so before you need to get a challenge in and still be offered the discount when they reject it. Pepipoo sometimes take 48 hours to respond I think, as long as you answered the 'I am not a robot' test sum/question properly (I've seen people realise they didn't).

Re-register. I expect you have not registered, maybe typed the anti-robot question wrong...

  • How did this go?

After 13 years of no parking tickets I am getting them almost monthly now. I had a similar ticket from Birmingham City Council recently, I brought three tickets and they were all displayed, well the last moved under another when I closed the car door. I appealed showing them photocopies of the tickets and my explanation. They cancelled the ticket.
