Hi

I agreed a deal of £8 a month for sky original 5 months ago and have had the letter saying its going up by £1.50

Can i assume that it doesnt really matter what was agreed , i`m going to have to pay the new price?

I was under the impression i had agreed 12 months at £8 but lifes too short to sit on hold to SKY to argue about it

Cheers

Your agreement terms and conditions would include the right to raise prices as per all the other ISPs .

From the front page T&C .
. Prices may go up during your subscription

Think you will find that the actual increase will be less -the letters going out are generic for the full package prices - you have a 60% discount(??) so the real increase will be 60p ,I think. If you go onto MySky and look for future bills, you will see what they intend to charge you.

Wasn't there a bit saying that prices could only go up by 10% maximum or if over that you can cancel within the minimum term without penalty?
I may have got it wrong but am sure I read this some time ago?
Does anyone know as my original bundle is increasing by 15% in june(I think)

Do your future bills online show a 15% rise? I also had the letter to say mine was going up £4.25 but the actual amount is £1.70 due to the deal I am on.

Original is going up to £22.50 for people outside a minimum term contract. So if that was £20 to £22.50 it would be a 12.5% increase but that isn't what is happening.

Most people @ £20 are going to £21.50 and most people @ £21.50 are those going to £22.50.

All of these people can go onto a new 12 month minimum term on Original (from when the change was announced) where they keep Original @ £20 for an extra 12 months.

This is on top of any existing discount. So, regards the OP, if they have £12 off they will have an £8 package for the remainder of the original (probably 10m) term and then commit to £20 price until May/June 2017

Have you looked at your actual bill(s) in MySky ?That will detail how it is calculated .
MY understanding (backed up by my bill increase) is that the basic increases will be prorated if you have an agreed % discount.
