PAC from o2 problem.

Hi everyone, I just left vodafone and went to o2 in to much of a rush(just to get away from vodafone). I did a PAC transfer to o2 to a PAYG account. I didn't actually get any credit on the o2 account. I then decided to move to giffgaff and asked o2 for a PAC number. They now say before they will give me a PAC number I have to put credit on the account. Can anyone tell me if this is true and if there is any way not to pay £10 for a PAC code? Thanks

Have you tried doing the online chat with O2? They tend to be really useful for simple requests like PACs.

I'm not sure about the £10 credit but if you have a chinwag with one of the live chat folk hopefully they'll sort it out. (It's the one time I've found the online chat is superior to an actual phone call).

The sim probably needs to be active, o2 might not consider it to be active until it's had a top up. You can see their point, you are costing them money by porting in and out...
